IGI 2 is on GOG and clearly the series is a cult classic, why isn't the first game here? It was published by Eidos, so maybe now Square Enix owns it?

We recently got Deus Ex and Dungeon Siege here, so I can dream, right?

Are talking about the reviews? Many games that reviewed poorly on release went on to become cult classics.
Project I.G.I.is a fun game. Most likely a top 10 in 2000 when it came out.

Innerloop is defunct, but maybe Toadman Interactive has some of the rights. They are publishing a new game called IGI Origins, due to release in 2021.
I've sent an e-mail to Toadman Interactive to inquire about the rights to the IGI franchise. I'll keep everyone posted if they respond.
Thank you. I, too, would like to have this game on GOG, so I'm interested to hear what they'll reply, even though, in all sincerity, my hopes aren't that high.
I got a response from Toadman!!

They said they don't have a decision about GOG for IGI Origins yet. If other GOG users want them to put this game here, you might wanna let them know with a friendly e-mail.

Here's the breakdown of the IP situation.

The IP was purchased back from the publisher (I'm guessing Codemasters?) by some of the founders of Innerloop Studios, which in turn was part of the acquisition Toadman made when they bought Artplant in 2018.

The first two games are still owned by the publishers, so for Project IGI: I'm Going In to come to GOG they probably need an OK from Square Enix Europe.

Next I'll try to contact someone at Square Enix Europe just to see what they have to say.

PHYKUR: No news i suppose
You know what they say... No news is No news.
I sure am glad people go out of their way to revive threads from two years ago, nearly three, even though there's nothing new to speak on.

Listen: If you're asking for a game, the best you can do is provide a wishlist entry and sell us on why you think the game you played once for the Vic-20 in 509 BC was so good.

Here, I'll bogart this thread and sell people on Iji.

It's a free, side scrolling shooter with several twists. Where in fact, you may not ever fire a shot. There's a hacking system, a mighty boot, and a fairly deep overarching narrative that does actually change with choices you make. It's made by the talented hands of Daniel Remar, who is a veteran gamedev, working on projects to this day. Having created fun things like Hero Core, Hyper Princess Pitch, and several successful commercial titles at Ludosity studios.
