Hello, This is addressed to GoG management. I just wanted to let you know why I can't buy any more games from GoG. I just purchased a third game from GoG that does not run on Windows 10 in spite of the fact that each of the 3 games descriptions said that they do. I understand Windows is always changing and that may not be your fault. However, it seems that whether or not the games I purchase will work is hit or miss at best. Since I cannot rely on the games' descriptions to tell me whether the game will run or not, I have no choice but to stop buying games from GoG. I don't want to waste any more of my money.

Regards,
An ex-customer.

You know you can get a refund if support can't get them working, right?

Contact support, they'll either get the game working or refund you.
Regards: What games? What did you try? Why do I get the feeling you're missing something obvious?
Are you using the normal installer, or are you trying to run it through galaxy?
If you list the games I am sure there are many on the boards that could help you get them running.
Does the games use dosbox or 3d glide wrapper?.

If you can give us some information on the issues we can try and help you.

I have a lot of games here and on occasion i have to tweak the games myself to workbut i can get them working on windows 10.

"Works on: Windows 10" on a game's store page means that they've tested that game on their various office test machines, and found that it ran reliably enough on those that they felt comfortable officially supporting the game on that OS. It does not serve as a guarantee that it will run on all the innumerable (not hyperbole) combinations of hardware and software possible. PCs are not consoles. Virtually no piece of software can be guaranteed that absolutely.
(This is ignoring the fact that you're not likely to find any better support on any other online game store, and having a better track record with games running "right out of the box" is probably gonna be down to chance. About the only thing Steam, for example, has over GOG in these respects is the more flexible refund policy, rather than more reliable products.)

As has been said: contact support. Even if you just wanna do this [drops mic; walks off stage] shtick, sending an e-mail to support would be the better way to go. GOG management probably doesn't read the forums too often. ;)
I noticed that most of the time "Windows 10" has become the catch-all scapegoat for any & every time when any game doesn't run properly, even though there are tons of possible things that can cause games not to run properly, and Windows 10 is often not the actual cause at all.

Maybe it isn't win10's fault but it's the ''prime'' suspect that could be the root cause in an offhand or innocent way. Also the OP needs to give Gog the chance to fix the problem or refund.

You can always request a refund. And besides, at least GOG cares about their games and they should normally work on most hardware, opposed to steam where you have no such guarantee.

I just wanted to let all of you know that I'm done buying games from GOG.

I realize it's not necessarily their fault, but I just purchased three more games here, and ,as a result, I'm out of money.

As a result, I am done buying games here.

It's always been this way. Every time someone can't run a game right the first thing they do is blame Windows, which leads to endless false rumors about "X game can't run on Windows 10" and whatnot. It was especially prevalent during the great Windows Vista paranoia plague. I confront people about this all the time and it does zero good. FUD is FUD.
Just more evidence that Windows 10 is absolute shit for old games and those people who upgraded from 7 were duped.
