Mugiwarah: The problem is it's too late to completly remove China, you can reduce it a little, but not completely remove the influence on the market. And let's be realistic for a second no store would cut hundreds of Millions of potencial custumers for 1 game. I personaly would prefer that they put the game in here even if i don't care about this game but i don't like censorship but they are a business and it's the most logical move to do for them.

Don't forget that if China is a billion we are many times that. Heck, Europe and North America alone are a billion!

But to me the most infuriating part - and the one I am mad enough about to actually stop supporting the site - is the way they communicated the thing. "Many gamers"? What am I, a joke to them? Tell us the truth! Come on, GOG, Say what you have to say at least, damn it!
The problem of boycoting GOG is the risk to make the only drm free store shutting down as it's not as popular as steam, we should find another way to say that we disagree with them, and if they don't listen you can do wathever you want without condamning them for a bad move.

A company didn't bow to a foreign "communist" government. First of all, because China isn't communist -they might they so in their propaganda, but it's just a totalitarian capitalism-of-state, where local corporation act with full government support.
They bent to "capital". Chinese money is money, they calculated that the losses from that market would far surpass the gains from Devotion's sales and they cut it out, like every single other corporation in the world would have.
It's still bad, but it's systemic - the political statement isn't "we approve tyranny", but "we'll do anything if it makes us richer".

CDProjekt actions are disgusting, and I have been saying this before it was cool; remeber all the shit you guys threw at me back when Cyberpunk wasn't even out? When I was talking about workers exploitment, broken promises and whatnot? Well, you can eat all that shit back now, you hypocrites.

The more likely outcome is this debacle will make them far more cautious with their announcements, which to be fair is not a bad thing for them, in the long run.

the government only lets these sort of private companies because they know these are way more economically productive than full governmental control , still they can just go in any day and take over

A representative of GoG has replied to my "account removal" ticket, it can take up to the 21st of February before it's processed as they are simply flooded with tickets at this moment because of CP2077. But yeah, it's due for deletion as all the previous steps, such as identifying myself as rightful owner of account, have already been taken and have been verified by the representative.

Oh look, another boorish ignorant looking to the world through the hole between their buttcheecks while pretending to lecture people on the internet.
I think Marx made the huge mistake of not taking into account psychology, hence why his model never really worked, but facts are still facts: there are no communists regimes, because communism has never been. There have been a lot of self-proclaimed (faux) communits regimes though.
Anyway, you way of talking just makes you look even more ridiculous.
