Darvond: I don't think these forums need to made broader. In fact, I think they need mass consolidation.

Here's your Strategy General, and here are the Strategy Game Subforums. That way, instead of having to sift though 3000+ forums, I can pick from 12, and probably find what I need within them.
Agreed. Maybe not that narrow, but more narrow than currently exists. The "by series" forums work (until they break it by making separate ones that shouldn't be separate), but by genre is probably a good move. Maybe by publisher. And start retiring/merging in the existing low-traffic by-game ones.

The "franchise" forums are already pretty slow and bare, so I don't really see a need for this. It's not like your post would get flooded out. The Witcher games have separate forums because they probably get some of the highest traffic of all the game forums, this site being tied to the series in multiple ways.

Well, I feel I should explain a bit further; it'd be like a directory tree. You'd go to the according tree, and then it'd branch.
