BTW, farting on escalators is the best; I like looking back after dropping one knowing that the people behind me are being pulled towards the contamination zone, one after the other.

According to Aerosmith, you can make love in an elevator. But love and death go hand in hand. So yes, you can die in an elevator. If from the thing falling or someone farting, you never can tell.

Something like a jet plane has a million things that can go wrong, so it is very difficult to counter everything that can happen, and some threats we just scratch our heads and have no concrete solution at all..... bird strike for example.

Elevators mostly never fail because the risk factor is clear and simple - falling, that's pretty much it.

So you know what can go wrong, then its very obvious what fail safes are required, so simple, only laziness or cheepskatedness is powerful enough to overcome it, and even then its very rare.

Yes, but then again ciomalau's existence pretty much disproves evolution, so fuck if I know, maybe gravity also washes it's hands of him.

idgaf i never liked to learn useless information like chemistry, physics, math. i admit it - when i made final exam in highschool i cheated on math. all useful things i know in physics is that i shouldn't touch electric wires while they're plugged and i shouldn't put hot food in fridge because it creates a vacuum and maybe i won't be able to open fridge door again

I hope that statistic is true. I work in an office where our elevator is broken down several times a year and I was actually trapped in it recently and had to be rescued by firefighters.
