Hi guys,
I have a little question for all of you and probably mostly for the support of the GOG team - I've been reviewing games lately (BG, PST, IWD) and each time it takes a horribly long time to post a review - my review appears at least in a day, and possibly in two days after I hit the "Submit a review" button. What's worse is that I can see other reviews constantly appearing (and seemingly it shouldn't take that long - Icewind Dale was only released yesterday and there were, like, 6 reviews available immediately), but there's still no my review yet (even though it was published 10+ hours ago already), and when my review is finally up I don't think anyone will ever care about it anyway.

I thought at first that maybe reviews are processed manually (to avoid spam), but seeing some "spam-reviews" (well, just spam, not reviews actually) I dismissed that idea. And if the processing is automatic, why does it take so long for my reviews?... :( Is it a problem with my account or do I just not understand something? Thanks in advance for your response, guys, and sorry if I sound like ranting, I'm actually not - I'm just curious about this problem and would like to solve it if possible.

been wondering that too, chief. I keep reviewing, writing both good solid reviews and all out rants about how the bugs need to be fixed yeah, and badaBUMS! no review. I'm tired of this. Did the issue ever fix for you?
...god almighty did you have to necro a thread that was 5 years old ?!

a thread this old with no asensrs warrants a new thread at least

To be fair, he did search for it and GOG's search is horrendous. :P

That's a great idea.
Let's sugest to GOG that when you're about to reply in an old thread a foul stench comes out of the computer.

That should decrease the number of necros. :-)

if some people dont even notice the aroma of mummified frog or mouse in their pc i doubt they will notice this
I wish that there was someplace where you could see all your reviews (the way you can look at your comment posts).

Almost a year... almost. Damned necromungers!
I will never get forum etiquette. If someone makes a new thread for a topic that already exists, he gets yelled at: "HEY! USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION!1!!!". But when someone uses an appropriate old thread, he gets yelled at: "OMG! Necro!"

(OK, the 'search function' yelling is less common here on GOG. Everyone knows that function sucks.)

I think it depends on the time and place... if there wass a large ongoing thread on a topic it makes sense to post any related posts there, but I think anything older than six months that's not directly related (as in a very specific issue or an update to a thread about whether a game will come here or something) should just be a new thread.

Some forums do indeed go crazy for stuff like that, when I'm looking for info on things and reading forum topics I often find things like mods telling the original poster of a thread off for asking a second question after their first was answered and saying they should open amother topic.. o_O
Screw your rules! I necromance what I want!
I'm NEVER letting that corny jokes thread die.
NEVER, Y'HEAR ME?!
NEVER!

Exactly. You can't win for trying. So I just hit and miss. Screw the haters. Some people just don't get that it can't all be one way.

Except when the topic in question is a vital point and keeps getting ignored by the people in control. which is often the case with certain topics like the review issue. A short crack answer is given that pretends to matter to the issue at hand and then bam. You're screwed, and labelled in some cases. All because you wanted a simple answer to a vital question that many people want a reasonable answer for. ;)It happens on forums all the time. It's part of the culture.
