I commented on something completely different now, I'll blame my fever and slowly back out of this thread while avoiding eye contact.

But to stick to the discussion, troll is a completely useless word today and the meaning of it has shifted completely. It's just a lazy label to smear on people you disagree with to attack the person and shift focus from what is actually said. In other words, standard braindead 2019 rhethorics.

I really hope none of you people with mental health issues will turn out like the guy in that Joker movie.

By incorrectly I mean those who downrate me either because they claim I am a troll/trolling or who actually think I am one. If they had/have a fair criticism of me for voting some of my posts down I can understand and accept that.

I never said they were all trolls....there are likely some who genuinely dislike my posting for some reason, and I can more accept their reasoning(even if I sometimes disagree) than those who troll the ratings system knowing it will get under my skin(and the skin of other people they do it to as well).

As for ingratiation(had to look it up as I don't use that word often), I try to be nice because: I want to be nice sometimes with most because I see it as the right thing to do, I want to diffuse arguments/misconceptions before they turn into arguments, and because I am trying to meet those who had legitimate complaints about my posting style half way.......I think some would rather I did that anyways than go back to being blunt at most times like I used to, at any rate.

Also do you mean being nice as I am now is not rational? Why? Why is it not rational to want to diffuse problems before they start and just trying to be nice to people for the sake of being nice?

As for your post: That film(haven't seen it fully yet) shows why some snap IRL.....due not to leanings and such but more because they get marginalized and shunned by the rest of humanity to the point they feel there is nothing else left for them in life. It is sad when it happens and we could avoid people becoming that way if people dropped the social shunning of others a few notches/to some degree.

I don't know if it's a persona but I once jokingly said I saw through him/thought he was a writer/scientist studying us or collecting material for a book and he said something like "shh, don't let out my secret" or some such.

You've been trying to diffuse this situation for months and it's only gotten worse. If these people were rational this wouldn't be happening. In their eyes you're a sacrificial fascist lamb, not a human being. That's the world we live in today.

Some might dislike me for something I said before or because someone told them I am a certain way, this is true, but I think some are more likely to just be trolls looking for an easy target.

Nobody is "just a troll". People are human beings with human psychology, and psychology clearly isn't something you are very familiar with.

Semantics/spillting hairs...you know what I mean but seem to want to dress it up for some reason(maybe to humanize them, or maybe to feel better in general...I am not you and don't know your motivations, naturally) whereas I just call those who insult on purpose/to get people upset on purpose trolls and am done with it.

Some do like to just "troll" others to get a reaction(even if they have reasons for doing so that differ from others), and others insult others because of their beliefs that the person they are insulting is bad and deserving of it. Yes, some who insult because of beliefs are trolling, but not all trolls are doing so because they believe the person they are doing it to is bad....some just don't care who they target.

You seem to be acting, though(correct me if I am wrong), that all people who insult are of the same stripe and all deserving of the same treatment....which is puzzling.

If you're right, why is it that you are well on your way to overtaking Tauto, or is that where you want to be?

I am that way likely due to(as some surmise) a few with alts or rep tools/scripts who like to troll or who genuinely dislike me for some reason or another(I drop 5 rep within minutes every day when I start posting, which seems like it is being automated/done by some with alts who do so when they notice me online posting).

As to do I want it? I have no choice, it would seem. Staff don't care to fix the problem beyond 'talking to some people about it to not do it anymore" and it's hard to change people's minds no matter what one does.....plus the rep isn't worth anything or important(beyond first impressions to newcomers who see it, perhaps). As such, I do as I will within the rules and while being as respectful as I can to others while remaining true to myself......that seems to work well for me at the current moment(beyond the occasion troll or insult hurled my way, that is).

(I only dislike the negative stigma the negarep gives me with others, which likely discourages some from replying.....that and the fact I dislike actual trolls[those who do it just to get a laugh and make people miserable on purpose] as it is irritating to a slight degree)

Over taking me? Well, as long as you and the other trolls keep pumping then it's a slight possibility but I wont hold my breath. Lets see 1300 behind at 5 a day is 260 days so it's possible, this time next year. But, and there is always a but and that but is they love/hate me more and I know how to tweak them.
