I'm making this thread for whoever wants to state the specific reason(s) that forced him/her to ask for a refund for a specific game. It would be for a refund that has been asked already, and that because he/she couldn't find anywhere for a solution to his/her problem.

It's my first time starting a thread and I was thinking about it for some time, as I couldn't find anything similar in the forum and I believe that the very few options/sentences available in the refund sheet don't do justice, so much to the game itself, as to that game's developers, who probably would want to know what went wrong in their game. There should be some space available in the refund sheet for the applicant to state in a small text the specific reasons that drove him to this action.

Another reason for my thread would be to make people avoid, if possible, writing 1-star reviews in that game's respective page, and probably for something that only he/she had a problem with! If someone saw something that he didn't like in a game, it doesn't mean that everyone else would have the same issue (e.g. "I don't like the graphics/the voices" etc.!).
I waited for some time so that my posts don’t merge, so I’ll write about two games myself that I asked for refunds.

The first one was Syberia 3, just yesterday. I bought it two weeks ago in a flash deal. I really REALLY liked the game. As I was playing, I was keeping notes, by pen and paper beside me, to write a 5-star review. I liked the story, the riddles and puzzles and the strange controls I had been reading about, didn't mind me. BUT the big issue for me was when I reached the Baranour amusement park. In that region, and only in that region (which is close to the end of the game) the loading screens were freezing and crushing repeatedly. I read as a solution to play in a windowed mode, to lower the analyses (I was playing at 1600x900), and to lower the graphics quality to "Fast", but neither of these, nor all of them together worked for me. Too bad, really. I was very looking forward to see what will happen next. I shall look for a youtube walkthrough for it.

Another game was some time ago, Crusaders of Might and Magic. I really liked (and like) that game too. Until I arrived in the Catacombs where there are some jumping puzzles I couldn't overcome because the running jump is buggy, as most often it halts your jump mid-air, as if you hit your head! So I asked for a refund. BUT at a later time I read a possible solution from joshdad here

https://www.gog.com/forum/crusaders_of_might_and_magic/jumping

I re-bought the game and tried it and it worked most of the time. He says to try jumping while walking (by holding Shift). So, I've prepared a 5-star review for this game too. I shall post it in the game's page in the next days.
Either:

Genuinely didn't like the game. (Endzone - World Apart) (J.U.L.I.A. Among The Stars)

Bought it on another platform/account by mistake.
I refunded only one game, Disco Elysium few days ago, because only after buying it learned about ongoing legal conflict between publisher and developers and don't feel like supporting the ZA/UM company.

Haven't really refunded a GOG game before even though i have almost 500 games.
Had to ask for a refund for Dragon's Dogma 4 years ago for

1. Lack of timely patches and bugfixes. The GOG version is missing two bugfix updates for months https://www.gog.com/forum/general/suggestions_wanted_for_gog_mix_games_that_treat_gog_customers_as_second_class_citizens/post1155
https://www.gog.com/forum/dragons_dogma_dark_arisen/updates_and_patches/post5

2. The Pawn rent bug (can't receive given items or RC from rents) still isn't fixed despite pawn rental being a core feature of the game.

As a positive, JuriJ refunded me within 3 hours
722 GOG games here and I've never returned a game for refund. Back in 2012 I actually broke GOG's shopping cart software by buying 57 games all in one purchase as it was only coded for orders of 50 or fewer games. Got an interesting email from support gifting me the missing 7 games. :)

I generally don't buy games unless I know for sure that I want them and I know what I'm getting before I buy them so there is virtually no risk of me becoming unsatisfied and wanting to return a game. Being a retro gamer I also know that a lot of older games can require jumping through a number of hoops to get running on a modern system, and for myself at least, I consider that to be within the realm of possibility when I buy something. Normally it's just a half hour or less of reading up online and fiddling with things to get something going.

But a tonne of the games are dirt cheap too, and if I put a dollar value on my time, it'd cost me more in time to refund a game than the money that I'd get back, so I'd probably not bother anyway. :)
I have no reasons to ever ask for a refund.
Two times thus far, Blade Runner: Enhanced Edition and HITMAN (2016).

For more than obvious (and well documented) reasons.
Although I'll probably won't give BR:EE another chance, I'd be willing to re-purchase HITMAN once the issues that got it delisted were fixed and it'd be made available here again.

That makes me wonder: do people who bought Hitman back then still have access to it or was it force refunded for everyone?

Shouldn't be any different from other titles that were delisted for this or other reasons over the years.
Still got Race Driver: GRID or Death Gate in the library, for instance.

The only instance I can think of where something was refunded and therefore removed for everyone who had purchased it, whether they wanted or not, was the pre-order for Bloober Team's Blair Witch, for to this day unknown reasons.

Never refound a game here so far.
Might and Magic 9.
I knew it had some issues with the Intel UHD 620 graphics chipset but for me, it meant that the game flat out wouldn't even run. I currently have the game in my shopping cart only because my current laptop has AMD and hopefully won't have the same issue.
According to my order history, I don't have any refunds on record.

Though I did refund Fez once due to not yet having a dedicated graphics card after a long period of running just baseline Intel Graphics.

(I soon bought a graphics card.)

But if there were games I could refund...

Another World: 20th Anniversary Edition: I'm not entirely sure why I bought this. It isn't my kind of game. Sure, I get why it was famous, but that doesn't carry far. Also, it's a game you literally play once. There's no point to replays.

Block'hood: This game is incomplete and the developer appears to have vanished in a puff of smoke. The central concept is flawed, and I'm surprised they thought they'd take a crack at it again, as I see Common'hood is currently due to release next month.

Caves of Qud: The game is obtuse for the sake of it, and the developer is one of those "Stop having fun, guys!" types who will work to patch any exploit that even though it should work in the rules of the game, aren't on their strict idea of fun. (Freezing lava to sell it for mad cash, for example.)

Earthworm Jim (Series): Another game I'm not sure why I bought, (having experienced the pain via emulation and magazine reviews) with the bonus that the creator of the series and many of his cohorts are absolutely theriomorphic.

Eschalon: Book I & II: Oh boy, I can't wait to play a turn based RPG with quarter the size & content of Spiderweb Software games, with stat build traps, where the PC walks with the urgency of an injured snail!

Factorio: Turns out I'm not actually that keen on zeerust industrial hells. See also: The bonus I gave to Earthworm Jim.

Forager: The developer lied about the development of the game & vanished, it was poorly balanced, and the whole game kinda falls apart by the middle of it and becomes a glorified waiting room.

Luftrausers: Oh boy, I sure do enjoy not getting updates for a game breaking bug. Also, the progression was mostly a factor of luck and it feels a little awkward of an idea to play now. That, and better games have done the concept better now.

Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee: I'm not even sure why I own this. I'm not sure I would like it from what I've heard. The worst of awkward platforming, stealth, and oddball dogma? No thanks.

Sid Meier’s Railroads!: Railroad Tycoon IV this isn't. And for tabletop railroad playgrounds, there are far better games.

Slime Rancher: It wasn't a good ranching game, and it wasn't a good exploration game. I understand that Rancher 2 is Rancher 1.5, so that's disappointing to hear.

To The Moon: I've played cutscenes in ZZT with more interactivity than this. It isn't a game.

Windforge: A good concept let down by a lack of vision, artstyle, and funding. Also shows the flaws in mixing procedural generation with set pieces.

A.D. 2044: I didn't even buy this game and I regret having it in my library. The translation is completely hogwash, the story is the fantasy of a teenage Alan Moore, and the gameplay such as it is happens to be firmly in the realm of moon logic.

BIT.TRIP SERIES: These aren't bad games. They have fantastic music and concepts, but I'm about as rhythmically inclined as an R2 unit falling down the stairs.

There were no forced refunds. I have still access to my purchase from back then and by now i don't see any sense in joning the religiose reasons some have if it comes to it's Online Features.
