I'm VERY upset right now. I preordered Scorn based on the aesthetics and was not happy with the game at all. Just wasn't what I was looking for. It felt like Myst and I generally do not like Myst. Regardless, I tried to refund it and they send me a message stating "it's been over 30 days" but the game itself did not arrive until recently. In the case of the Cyberpunk fiasco I know for a fact that people were refunded from pre-orders of the game. Well, I want the same treatment. I've been a longtime GOG supporter and have 804 games here.

And it's not like I just want my money back, I would rather put it into the wallet so I can buy Fallen Legion Revenant, A game I actually WANT to play. So GOG isn't even losing out on any sales. This is BS, I preordered a game that I do not like and do not want.

Ask again and this time, cite GOG's article on that:

Pre-orders
You can apply to refund your pre-order at any time, without stating a reason, until the game is officially released. Afterwards, it is covered for 30 days by our voluntary Refund Policy, as described above.

Grargar:
Yes, but in this odd sense no one knew what kind of game it was until it came out. There was very little footage of gameplay. It was all hidden so I couldn't tell what kind of game it was going to be. Games usually do not do this with trailers. Should I ask the devs for my money back on Twitter? I feel I'd been scammed a bit. This isn't what I thought it was. I should be able to refund on that principle alone.

Oh, I see. So I should still be covered for 30 days after release. I will do that, thanks.

The reason you want to refund is perfectly legit. And that's why you should push back against support's claims by sending them the article.

It looks as if you found a bug in their refund system (or a very tired person working in support).

Thanks. I'm gonna fight back hard on this one.
Did you actually contact our Support Team though, or did you use the (semi-)auto refund? If it's the latter, it might be that the system misinterpreted the purchase date. Please send us a ticket through Support Center and we'll look into it.

Yes, I did just that. Thanks for the prompt reply!

Okay, it's day two and they still haven't done anything yet. First it was mordaissy and now ponczo. I sent the ticket, in fact three tickets I sent have been merged into one. I have no idea why this is so difficult. I preordered the title, I did not like it just a few days after release and I should be covered for up to 30 days by GOG policy. All I want is the money to be refunded back to my GOG wallet, so that I can purchase something that I actually want to play.

There is your issue - back of the queue!
Ah, okay. My bad.

What did help in one of my cases was to add a comment to a existing issue, after it wasn't handled after almost a week. Then it was a matter of hours.
Could have been random of course.

Yes, several users have reported a response when replying to a support ticket that had stalled for a long time. That's also been my case one time.
But the key word above is week. This thread was started yesterday and it seems the issue is maybe a few hours older than that.
I did that and today I got no response at all from GOG staff. Makes me never want to pre-order anything ever again. I just want my money refunded, I had no idea it was going to be this much trouble.

Let's be real here: For digital distribution there *never* is a good reason to pre-order. Any and all "rewards" are either bullshit, or overpowered and ruining game experience.
