Hipnotic Interactive, Rogue Entertainment and Xatrix Entertainment (the latter being Gray Matter Studios past a certain point).
Have Bethesda added anything to GOG in a while? I feel like it's similar to Ubisoft where they did a string of semi-modern games and then stopped.

Because the id contact guy is on his lunch break right now.

I think that's most big-name "AAA" publishers. I guess we did get an old Activision game a few weeks back though.

Lord_Kane:
If you are so pedantic than Quake 4 is also NOT made by id Software but Raven Software.
Wolfenstein and Quake franchises were wholly owned by id Software before Bethesda buyout, I think Barry meant more open approach towards id Software games.
As for Heretic and Hexen, original games plus Hexen II (expansion not included) were produced by id software, though IP rights belong to Raven Software / Activision the publishing rights were available exclusive to id Software.
When Activision bought Raven we've lost Wolfenstein (2009), Hexen II: Portal of Praevus and Heretic 2 games in limbo. And who knows what will happen after years of publishing deal expiration.

I think a big problem is that people own a lot of these old but not too old games on Steam, and the market of people who would re-buy them at full price just to have them on GOG is pretty small. I was excited to see Bioshock Infinite come here for example, but am I paying $16 or whatever it was just to get a DRM free copy when I already have it? Nah. So that's probably stopping a lot of semi-modern releases from selling well.

oh yeah, Quake 4 completely slipped my mind sorry about that.
I was just more pointing out then being pedantic, kinda rude of you make that accusation but thats okay, I get why, in hindsight my post was kinda rude too. oh well

Yeah so many great titles are in limbo thanks to Id leaving activision and then going with bethseda that much is very true. Activison buying Raven is a tragedy in bigger regard totally agreement there. I hope one day, they will be free, but likely they wont.

I will but it'd be nice if you would keep this list up to date. :)

(Before anyone says so I saw the OP post date but this thread seems interesting)

Grargar: Because they just don't. They are even selling the old Doom games on GamersGate as Steam keys. No option for direct download.
At least one can copy the doom wads into a source port/etc even when buying on Steam. :)

Quake 1/2 are here but sadly the music is cut out and one has to get it elsewhere. Also iirc the classic doom games are the censored german ready versions and need to be modded to put some content back in.

Other than that this is a nice update and helps the thread quite a bit. Kudos & +1. :)

Tbh if choosing between that and them making a new thread i'd rather they bumped it if they have good content to add to the thread being bumped.

The seperate "for-sale" versions of Doom and Doom II are the original dos releases with no censored content.
The versions of Doom and Doom II included with Doom 3 BFG Edition are the censored german releases.

To me and others 16 bucks for the full game is a steal compared to release day prices....just saying. :\

What about the changes for the red cross? Are the red pluses still in the gog versions as well?

Also thanks for the information. :)
