Well, as much as i hate steam and whatever it is that it stands for, i really, really HATE far more, scammers, crooks and anything else of ill repute, of the sort. Hell, even a scammer impersonated ME, before, ME!!! I ask myself GOG to drop a hammer or two on them, too. Goddamn it, doggone it, i never expected myself to ask for anything that would defend steam, but even i myself have my borderlines...

Or don't react at all... A month or two ago I wrote a ticket with a collection of "GOG.com's finest insults and harassment" (most of it related to NES), reminding them that the forums are visible to the public and suggesting to make Ciris a proper CM and not only a Twitter and Twitch geek. I never got an answer, the insults are still there and Ciris is still an infrequent visitor on the forums (can't even remember when I last saw her). I already thought about starting a new "Happy Happy Sunshine Daisies" thread, just to see if this will get me banned (as it was "threatened")... Just for teh lulz...

Since you don't frequent the forums lately much, i have officially retired from piracy. And i won't pirate anything else anymore. Plus where is the hypocrisy? It's just a matter of quantity and priorities. I HATE Steam, but i hate MORE, *scammers* and things of that caliber. Scammers and people like them are vile and dangerous, far more vile than anything else, in MY priorities. Piracy is irrelevant here, anyway. Besides the fact that i already retired from piracy and posted that in forum, before. And did i say i RETIRED FROM PIRACY PERMANENTLY, yet???

First of all, I haven't had a spare cretin for a while, so haven't been giving them away.

As for why I prefer to gift on the GOG forum rather than on SG, it's because here I can make a nice giveaway post, put down whatever rules I want, and have discretion over who wins.

Besides, I don't really like the SG style gifting. If I do a forum giveaway or high level giveaway the winner will most likely have won dozens or even hundreds of games. I have no desire to gift to such people. If I do a public giveaway, I have a good change to get scammers. In general I'd say that gifting Steam games, especially bundle games, is pretty meaningless unless you know someone who really wants to play the game. The chance of the winner of a giveaway to really want to play the game is pretty low.

Momo1991: GOG clearly doesn't support gifting here... heck, even threads that gift GOG codes aren't moderated! Come over to SG and at least you can gift freely, up your level without losing "rep" and level up to have a better chance of winning GA's.

For those of you gifting your extra, unwanted Steam keys, at least stop dropping them here without some kind of system in place to ensure they aren't going to NES-alt accounts that will just trade them.... At least stop dropping free-range codes that any bot can pick-up and redeem on alt-Steam accounts that are then resold.

Seriously people, get a clue. GOG has become a major magnet for scammers and leechers. Sad day for the Momo to say this but buy your drm-free games here but find another place to off-load your extra Steam codes.... at least get some "rep" for them over on SG. :-)
