Just out of curiosity but from what I see, he seems to be much beloved in this forum. What did he do to achieve his fame? Who is he? what does he do? and what makes him popular?

Long story short, he used to be basically the forum mascot for his irreverent sense of humor, although he's not really as big these days. Popular might be true, but "much beloved" might not be entirely accurate.

I think my favourite thing about this thread is that its title assumes the form of "who is John Gault?" and I'm just left imagining tinyE as the pinnacle of the DRM-free man.
