There's a blank space on the GOG front page, it usually means there's a game that's unavailable in Australia. So what is filling the blank space for you lucky non-antipodeans? Screenshot of the missing area is attached.

Hotline Miami 2 is blocked from access by all of GOG's Australian customers. Same goes for the Commandos games for all the German members. The list is quite small for now but who knows what the future holds since no one ever expected to see regional locked games on GOG before.

Good thing, too. God knows what would happen if you Aussies had the freedom to chose to do what you want. Experiencing the joys of Hotline Miami 2 might just cause your heads to implode from playing it. Thankfully we all have benevolent governments in charge to protect us from ourselves. They always know whats best for you and me.

I still cannot believe that pixel-graphics game actually got banned in Australia. I thought we were a modern liberal democracy but apparently the conservatard morality police are the ones in charge.

The sale is for everyone except Germans, because they lost two world wars and produce an alarmingly large amount of really weird pornography.

OK, so they refused to rate it because the certification board thought it'd be a bad influence on the Australian people. On the bright side, at least they ended the pre-order! Right?
Well; now they advertised the free pirated version to lots more people than their initial audience and got more people to play it. Good on them I guess.

But I wonder why Australian censorship became a thing in the first place. The restrictions seem infantalizing.
