Paradoks: Just 9 more days before the new publisher. And I think/hope it's Eidos.

I think it will be Eidos also. They've been doing DRM free releases on another download site. I'm not totally sure what I want of theirs though.

Tomb Raider, Kain/Soulreaver, Hitman, Thief, Deus Ex and other stuff that I'm not motivated enough to search out.
Yeah, they've got lots of stuff. But they're not an independent company any more, they're part of Square Enix. Not that getting Square Enix onboard would be a bad thing at all.

Paradoks: if we look at top 20 on the wishlist - that leaves Atari (doubtful) and Eidos). It still may be just a coincidence.

Why is Atari doubtful? They published the first game.
That + Square Enix thing makes Atari seem most likely.

EA is the first in my list, and Eidos second.

EA looks good too. Yummy.

Me too. I already have everything I need that's published from them - namely Deus Ex.

Sir, you may be wrong at this. The game alone isn't enough.
Do you have the full soundtrack (100+ tracks counting in-game) as a download from somewhere? This would be a insta-re-buy for a lot of people. ;)
Now guys, keep your voices down or someone might hear you, I only just bought Deus-Ex last week in a Steam promo for £3!!
If it were released on GoG I'd feel a right bloody ass! :D
Interesting release this week again though I'll be giving it a miss, can't wait to see what's coming next on Thursday, I've been waiting weeks now and I've a good feeling for it..

They published the first game - that's exactly why they are doubtful.
They published the Witcher, they published the Witcher EE, they were supposed to publish RotWW. And suddenly - CD Projekt is looking for a publisher for the Witcher 2. That obviously means they parted with Atari, unless it's some really weird way of marketing.
Besides, Atari's current DRM policy isn't exactly what CDP aims at (limited online activations with no revoke tools).
I still think that the new publisher will also be a publisher for the Witcher 2 - too many coincidences for my taste.
But CDP's marketing techniques aren't always rational. They have announced the announcement of the game that everyone knows about :P.
So the fact that they said that they don't want EA as a publisher doesn't necessarily mean it won't be EA.
It may also be Zenimax/Bethesda - when talking about the Witcher 2 the creators often referred to Oblivion and Fallout 3 as examples of very successful sequels - again - maybe a coincidence, maybe not.
There is one main reason why I hope it's Eidos - Legacy of Kain series. My absolute number one that is unavailable on any DD platform, unlike Eidos' other franchises (but I'm buying another boxed copy next month anyway :P).
And as stated before - Thief, Deus Ex, Hitman and Tomb Raider.
And SE shouldn't be a problem - both The Last Remnant and Batman: Arkham Asylum are available on Steam.

It was more an explanation in light of the leak, so people would not have misled perceptions.
Re: Atari, they convinced them to use only a disk check so it's not beyond reason. I see what you mean about seeking a new publisher. Nevertheless, could be a million reasons they're no longer with Atari, many of which could me amicable.
Arkham came out before they merged I think...
Also tons of publishers go to Steam but not here. Like LucasArts..
