IAmSinistar: As a Pre Order bonus you will receive two in-game items.

Et tu, GOG?

tfishell: I'm not getting the "betrayal" here. It's not GOG's decision to have the two in-game items, they're just letting people decide if they want them or not.
It's just gog supporting the practices of "preorder exclusives".

Well that's been happening for some time now; the responses were making it seem like this was a new thing.

Honestly it's up to people to not preorder then and send a message. I assume the dev/pub is doing the same thing on Steam.
i really dont understand :

why people get upset over pre order exclusives ?

Whats the big deal about Valkyria Chronicles ? (wasnt this a psp game?....pc version seems to be a turn based one with dodgy looking anime inspired artwork?)

The first Valkyria Chronicles was on PS3.

Because of missing content in the game? You feel like you have an incomplete game?

But this argument could excuse any bad practice (drm, or whatever) that would be supported by gog. Saying, it's not up to gog to refuse these, but up to the individual customers...
Well, nobody's been able to tell me when Pillars is releasing so I'm assuming nobody knows. In that case, and seeing I haven't even pre-ordered TW3 yet (which incidentally does have a release date), I will pass on GOG's generous offer to pre-order Pillars by the end of November.
I already backed Pillars of Eternity on Kickstarter and will receive this game later this month. Hopefully also on GOG. I'll get Kickstarter exklusives.
Stop holding the games hostage GoG!

There is no set release date for PoE yet beyond a tentative "early 2015". The game is still in beta at this point, with Obsidian still fine-tuning the combat system.

Yeah, I even kinda feel that way about achievements a lot of the time - a version of a game that doesn't have them feels a bit less complete that a version that does, sorry but I do, I'm not just trolling Niggles, fun though it is...

True.
