xxxIndyxxx: No, what i meant was: it's not really a remake or continuation of the gameplay we love from Shadow warrior (Like Rise of the Triad 2013 was) but more like a painkiller type game with a chinese setting ;)

Again nothing wrong with painkiller but don't expect classic shadow warrior with modern graphics.
My problem with the Painkiller devs is really that they don't understand "old-school" FPS level design and what made it so good. Serious Sam/Hard Reset/Painkiller all had the same bad level design - go into big area/room full of enemies, kill all enemies, find secret - follow corridor to an entire bigger room full of enemies, kill enemies, find secret. Rinse, lather, repeat.

What those guys need to do is take a real close look at games like Doom and Hexen.

Painkiller actually locked you in a not so large room and hurled one type of a monster at you. I tried the game three times and always uninstalled it an hour into the game at maximum.

deadfolk: Lol, what I meant was - what does "it's painkiller in china and not shadow warrior." mean? Painkiller is being release in China instead of SW?

Sorry - I'm probably just tired! :P

Ah, okay - that makes sense now! For some reason I just couldn't wrap my head around that sentence. Like I said, I must be tired.

For the record, though, I'm fine with Painkiller in China. Already preordered.

Well Serious Sam follows that same basic idea, except with bigger areas.

Yes I agree, but I don't think they intended to make a doom clone. It's the media who labeled it an oldschool shooter.

Well, make sure to go downstairs and jump off that balcony so you will be around for next week's release.
Shadow Warrior unlocks in about 3 hours on Steam, so I guess that's when the GOG release will also happen.
avatar
Crosmando: Speaking of Shadow Warrior, are GOG gonna get the Shadow Warrior port that's only on Steam?
It's pretty shit anyway, original in Dosbox with modified controls is better.

Leroux: You still live after that jump? :o
Yeah, I was lucky my head broke my fall .
I want either Corsairs (if old game) or Torchlight 2 (if Indie game).
