GameRager: To some, GOG is the ONLY site(Maybe they like DRM-free aspect of the games here, or something else entirely.)....so it is possible. Such people just wait for stuff to come to GOG, or they buy on GOG and GG, but prefer games to be on GOG & as such they wait for them to come here if possible.
Fred_DM: yeah, but like i said: you have to limit yourself severly. there's a HUGE number of great games that aren't on GOG and will never be on GOG. methinks the games should be more important than some weird sense of distributor loyalty.
you wouldn't do that with books, would you? "i'm not reading Hamlet because it hasn't been published by XYZ!" makes no sense.
Wouldn't a better example be "I'm not reading Hamlet bought from X store because it is being sold by X store."?
And it makes perfect sense for some...some might want to see their favorite distributor grow, or they dislike the policies implemented by other such sites(And thus don't want to give them any business.). You and others may think such reasons silly but to some they are perfectly valid.
bazilisek: Yeah, I kind of think the whole "losing your identity" thing has already started kicking in.
???

SimonG: Geneforge is actually one of those games that if I buy it, I buy it here. As it is an old game, there is nothing Steam has to offer me on this. And I won't buy it from the devs site, because I don't want to reward is utter lack of understanding in regard to digital marketing.
Yeah, the pricing is good here on this series. And yeah, Jeff doesn't know how to price his games competitively/realistically(Especially as he sells online and not through brick and mortar.), it seems.
