DreamedArtist: GOG needs to get itself together when it comes to releases and patches they are falling behind like shovel knight was almost 2 months late compare to steam and humble and so on but they said they have around 20+ games from lucas and disney coming so we only got 5 so far but nothing else for almost a month :/ gets old real quick tbh
Fixed it for you.

20+. Precise quote from the post:

"The day has finally come and the holy grail of classic gaming has arrived on GOG.com. Welcome, Lucasfilm games! You are among friends, here! We're proud to announce our team-up with ©Disney Interactive that allows for the DRM-free release of 20+ classic titles from the cult-classic developer."

yyahoo: Well, by mid December we'll be in the throes of the Winter Sale (and will stay there until the end of the year) and historically GOG doesn't release "classic" games during big sales, only day 1 indies...

Some, but not all, of the patch issues lay with the developers and not necessarily GOG. Some devs have openly admitted that they've sent the patches to Steam first to see what happens and only after Steam users beta test the patch for them, do they actually send it to GOG. Others have separate release code for the Steam and GOG releases and so they focus on patching Steam first because of the larger user base and only after that's said and done do they turn to updating the patch for the GOG release. GOG's had some issues with what was given to them to release as well and had to make fixes of their own in some circumstances. SOTS: The Pit DLC has supposedly been a mess that required weeks of work on GOG's part to get installing properly.

Again, these situations aren't universally true in all circumstances. I don't know the Shovel Knight specifics at all. GOG does foot some of the blame, but I certainly wouldn't lay it all at their feet.

I haven't heard anything about it myself. All's been quiet on the Lucasarts front since the initial releases, to my knowledge. Personally, I've been waiting for a sale to make my LA purchases, but that's just how I roll... :P

shovel knight devs said on facebook they have the patch out on gog and steam and so forth 2 months later gog gets it lol but whatever I am just happy it did get the patch and hope the upcoming new free dlc gets here the same time :D

Yeah same here I want it to hit sale first but 1995 version man Cant beat that lol

Damn! Good news? They are being worked on. Bad news? Santa Claus won't listen to our Lucasarts pleas for this holiday...

"Maybe the reason we aren't releasing them is because a) we're testing them b) holidays and the holiday season rush c) technical issues with the games need be worked and re-tested and d) the holidays being what they are a lot of companies might not be as responsive since their people are probably off for the holiday season?" - JudasIscariot

How many technical problems could the adventure games that run on SCUMMVM have? Release The Curse Of Monkey Island, Day Of The Tentacle, The Dig, Full Throttle, Maniac Mansion, Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade: The Graphic Adventure, Loom and Zak McKracken And The Alien Mindbenders now while we wait for the more technically challenging Lucasfilm titles. ;)

It's been 5 weeks and 2 days since the initial Lucasfilm releases. Could today be the day?

Doesn't seem likely with the Winter sale starting today. :(
GOG tweeted:

"Coming up: a surprise stream with @Quill18! Follow Twitch.tv/GOGcom . All will be revealed soon!"

What could that mean?
