Why can't GOG ever do things the simple way?

Barry_Woodward: We're nine hours shy of five weeks since the initial Lucasfilm releases. Could today be the day or would GOG want to have another countdown to build hype for round 2?

"...we want to reunite you with those golden oldies with as little delay as possible."
"...you can expect to see Lucasfilm games popping up frequently..."
I want it to be today, though I really doubt it.

Next Tuesday will be nice!

Cadaver747: Outlaws and Dark Forces series will be here. It's a matter of time.

There is nothing like Outlaws in FPS world, nothing...

IronArcturus: From what I can tell, Steam already has both Dark Forces 1 and 2, but never got Outlaws. I don't know if the GOG team ever got Outlaws to work on modern systems, but it would be nice to see.
Yes, you are right about Steam.

But we still have here Might & Magic 1-9, Heroes of Might & Magic 1-4 (+ Heroes Chronicles), The Legend of Kyrandia 1-3 (yeah, right), Sam & Max complete collection (for the first time ever), Dungeon Keeper 1-2, Gobliiins trilogy, Zork complete series and something else

Significant or not, these are well known games, worth every penny for hardcore games or just greedy digital collectors :)

My point is that GoG and Outlaws meeting is inevitable.

I trust GOG know simple things about game fans, things that big publishers tend to forgot these days ;-D
I arrived at a point where I am just hoping for there to be another release of LucasArts games this year. I hope that will not be to unrealistic.
My guess is they did not get enough games or don't have enough done for the rest of the year and saving it for next year as a big bang, who knows.

All I know is HOLIDAY SALES <3 if it does come hehe :3

Apparently those terms are relative in GOGspeak, especially the term "frequently".
The more we are asking, the bigger the delay becomes.

I really, really hope GOG can get Outlaws. But I also recall reading a GOG post stating that the GOG devs were having issues trying to get the game to run on newer hardware. I wish I could find that post.

Such a post would have had to be made in the last 6 weeks (after LucasFilm was confirmed), and I don't seem to recall one like that at all. There was the ask us anything on Twitch that mentioned them having troubles with two games, but they weren't LucasFilm ones. So I don't think they've mentioned having trouble with Outlaws, though I may have missed said post.

Yeah, I'm hoping I'm wrong on the whole "can't get Outlaws to work" ordeal. Outlaws was one of my favorite FPS games, and it's really a shame that it wasn't more popular back then. It should have gotten a sequel! "Where are ya, Marshal?!"
It just occurred to me that we all know the answer to the question posed by this thread.

Now we just need to know when the releases are! :-P

xxxIndyxxx: Yeah I really wish they would give us some kind of schedule...It's just too secretive and annoying. If anything it just dissapoints me. The release of today (tales and lovely planet) look even worse than they really do because of this and there is now not a single chance that i will buy them....
Why would more Lucasarts not having been released yet affect your desire to get Freedom Planet and pixel piracy?
Freedom Planet actually looks really good.

Not that I agree with him, but he doesn't mention Freedom Planet or Pixel Piracy at all. Look at the date of his post, it's four weeks old...
