muntdefems: I'm pretty sure that "RECLAIM YOUR GAME" link has been there for a long time, but feel free to think GOG staff has made a modification to the website design at a user's request in a matter of minutes or hours... :P
I can assure you that it wasn't or I wouldn't have said it in the first place.
muntdefems: Hmmm, I don't see no purple bar for GOG Connect... Only one for the Summer Sale XP thing at the top, and the usual one for GOG Galaxy separating the sale deals from the regular stuff. There's a "NEW GAMES ON GOG CONNECT" in a small box as if it were a featured game though, and that's what I was referring to.
Just checked and the only purple bar is for GOG Galaxy now as you said.
muntdefems: Oh, right, I don't use Galaxy so I don't know how things look in it (and even if I cared, I couldn't as there's no Galaxy client for Linux *glares at GOG*).
If they're quite different as you say, that sucks big time.
The client being web browser based uses web content for it's display, but it isn't identical to what shows on the website in that it is devoid of all of the top and bottom navigation links, actually the entire header and footer are gone, with the top being a custom header just for the client, and the footer being nothing at all. The main content area is similar but lacks any GOG Galaxy advertisement presumably because you're already using Galaxy if you're using Galaxy. :)
There is a small icon box with GOG Connect in it below the featured release section which is probably what you mentioned above. Link seems to work. Anything that shows up as content will vanish over time though, leaving no way to navigate to the page, unless they plan on always having the icon box advertising CONNECT when it has active titles present.
It might be a sensible idea to put a GOG Connect bar or nav link at the top of one's game library page, as that'd likely be a good clutter free place to trigger people into thinking of checking - while they're looking at their library.
