Let's take a walk down the rabbit hole shall we. So I have previously speculated that GOG / CDPR picked the date October 23rd for the official release of Gwent, the day that GOG went public because they possibly may release a website refresh or some kind of significant Galaxy update for the 10th anniversary that ties in with the game (ie the game possibly makes use of some new site and/or Galaxy features).

Now bare with me for sec, but apparently early yesterday achievements on Gwent showed up for a bit then were quickly removed (lending to the speculation that somebody was messing about on the backend and it's a bit early for October 23rd, so still plenty of time between now and then). Why would GOG / CDPR bother now unless some kind of update was planned soon to add achievements?

With the new revelation that it appears GOG HQ has had their 10th anniversary celebration this week, I am now wondering if they may do whatever they are going to do this perhaps week (possibly as early as today / tomorrow). I am also wondering if GOG may release the Homecoming Gwent update as a beta within Galaxy (possibly beta within a beta?), during this time to make use of whatever new features may or may not be added. It's logical to assume, being as large and significant the Homecoming update is... they may want to allow beta testing before the official release. It it major update that completely changes Gwent, and Gwent has largly been in testing this entire time.

Again all speculation but it is fun to wonder... not that I ever expect Linko to confirm or deny. Lol, but I don't see them having an HQ celebration (and making a big deal out of with non GOG employees, ie streamers) if they don't plan on actually doing anything to celebrate with us GOG users soon too, espically after saying in the media they will be doing something to celebrate it. I also expect to be completely wrong here.

Why are we so hung up on a sale? Not that I'm doubting a sale might happen, but a sale and sale only would be pretty damn disappointing for a milestone like 10 years.

Not another sale. Just give me 10 frickin' days of frickin' awesome games new to GOG.

So when GOG is going to celebrate ? Does anyone know ?
