Is there any place where I might find Star Trek: Klingon Academy where it doesn't take 5 days to download?
Or perhaps a store that still sells it?

Try asking the Romulans.

Here's the thing. Star Trek is a vast franchise of many musical, actor, character and even lore licences. Chances are, one of those wasn't cleared.

If it isn't an issue of rights, then it is an issue of the engine. It being from the 2000s could well mean it runs on some graphical API that no longer exists and was poorly documented.

I believe the Starfleet Academy release on GOG uses the same files.
