I'm gifting the first eight chapters of Higurashi in one code (https://www.gog.com/games?page=1&sort=popularity&search=higurashi).

Say if you're in and I'll pick the winner in a day or three. Post something cute or link a nice post-rock / post-metal / blackgaze song that I haven't heard yet, and I'll look at your post twice! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8Juilrg6oQ

EDIT: Closed, winners will be contacted shortly..

What is the age rating of the game? I was not sure if it was one of those H rated visual novels I avoid lol.
I'm in

I doubt you never heard it, but I only know about Talk-Talk about 2 years ago and it quickly become one of my favorite band, and I'm really surprised that I only knew of Mark Hollis death last February, over a year since he passed away.

Have to admit that Spirit of Eden need some repeat for me to get into, but what. a great album. I Believe in You in particular always caught me.

It's not pornographic at all. Without spoiling too much, I'd summarize it as a murder mystery in a remote village.. where people talk about demons. Rather violent, but not particularly graphic. Some call it a "sound novel." It leans heavily on words and audio, more than visuals. The visuals are mainly backdrops that set context and atmosphere (plus of course character sprites).

It's a long read if you go into it. Don't know exactly but there are various estimates that put it around 1.5 million words, about twice the English bible.

I was gonna say I was in, then I started having PTSD like flashbacks regarding genres in music and I just... I... don't know.

Here's this though.
Amewsing but naoooow, not in despite it being a purrfectly fine giveaway.
topic title would probably be more appropriate if it was a giveaway for sea kittens or storks and not cicadas ha ha.

(not in)
Just to clarify, is it the first four games or all eight games? Cause the expression "first" implies they're the first four. I own the first four but not the last four.

Either way, this is what I set as my desktop background right now. I did it a couple days ago, before any news on the series broke out. Coincidence?
Count me in and thanks for the giveaway.

I wouldn't say it's a particularly obscure track but I would pick La Favilla II by Giardini di Mirò. Actually the entire album is very enjoyable.
in, maybe.
I'm in. This album is pretty good: Alcest - Spiritual Instinct , but probably you already heard it.

Eight. There are more than eight titles in the series, and I hope we'll see them here too, one day. I vaguely recall reading that MangaGamer did get the rights and would be translating the rest of them too, but I'm not 100% sure.

Wait, you mean like Umineko? Or even more Higurashi?

Either way, I'm in for the last four games!

More Higurashi. There's three extra chapters in Rei, three more in the PS2 version, and four more in the Nintendo DS version.

(Mind you these aren't really a linear continuation of the main story, so it's not like the set on GOG right now is a half-finished story. But these missing chapters do provide alternative routes and endings, as well as some "extras")

EDIT: I found a pic that claims MG is only translating the PC arcs :(
