It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

When downloading any game, the bin file beginning with the second download of a game has a weird messed up name . .. it has % signs and so forth in it. The name of the download is long and garbled...why is gog framework doing this. Can this be fixed?
Are you using firefox? The newer version messed up the file name when downloading.
You mean the filename is mixed up with %3A and %2F?

Thank you for replying....uh yeah is has %354564565% or some such thing in the downloading files name. Note that it doesn't do it to the first download file,, but the second download file.
Ouch! This goes beyond my "expertise" unfortunately. Perhaps you need to send in a support ticket :(
Okay it appears that firefox downloads game files with the original and right name....while Microsoft browser garbles the filename ..any explanation? How do I fix my miccrosoft browser.?
I don't use microsoft's browser, but in firefox case, an extension/add-ons (in my case my download manager) is the one causing that. Try to use the browser safe mode (aka disabled all add-ons) and test downloading and see if problem persist.

Newer version = Quantum? Or some of its current versions?

Sorry for not making it clearly it's not the firefox browser itself, but its the integration with the add-ons. The quantum on its own is fine.

Well, introduction of Quantum changed a lot in terms of addons, so it seems that my question remained viable here. :D

So Quantum's integration of addons is not so good as before? Or it is a problem of addons' developers?

I think the add-ons programing change dramatically for quantum. Many devs obviously pissed and some just choose to abandoned it especially smaller ones with small resource. In my case the FDM work fine before quantum upgrade, but now it messed the filename if I choose to download in browser.

zlaywal: ...
Yes, I know the reasons and the rest. I "lost" a few addons I liked myself.
