Just like at Steam? I think that now more than ever does GoG need an option to hide games that doesnt interest us. Maybe an option to hide everything that isnt a full game too, like DLCs, soundtracks, VNs, In Dev, etc... If they allow us to downvote forum posts to hide them why not the games as well?

I dont know how long they are going to keep us waiting for this with all the shovelware and other garbage they are flooding the store with. Its extremely underwhelming to browse. Just look how messy the 'New' section is right now. Its quite insulting too to be presented will all this trash repeatedly, its like they expect to wear us down with constant exposition to bad games in hopes that we eventually buy them.

Are you a sort of creature that uses the GoG forums as his lair and participate in any thread being posted? I have seen other similar specimens at Steam too. I would bet that your excuse for tossing your 2 cents everywhere is ''because why not? I got nothing else to do why my life''.

HEY! That's,spot on.
Staying on topic here, I think it would be a good idea.
But hard to do right. So many games these days have overlapping genres. It would be a choice between seeing less games that you are more likely to not care about and possibly missing out on a great game that gets jumbled into a genre you choose to ignore.

Although to be honest I don't need more games...but that's besides the point.

I would like an option to individually hide games. It would be slightly different from Steam because if you ignore a bad RPG , then Steam assumes that you dislike the RPG tag so it affects the suggestions (I think it works that way at least).

Staying on topic, this option should have been added ages ago, if only so you can mark games already owned elsewhere.

And it would be in GOG's interest. I'm more likely to buy games if I see 10 games I don't have, than 3 games I don't have and 7 I already own elsewhere.
I don't mind buying games here I have somewhere else but there are titles I am not interested at all. An option to hide those games would be a great relief for me as well.

Thats also true, I forgot about how often I saw games on the store page which were not properly marked as 'owned'.

Somehow I feel like GoG doesnt want that feature because of its limited selection of games. Like I said I think they are aiming at constant exposure to earn sales over time, while an ignore feature would pretty much guarantee that they lose that sale.

Steam doesnt care about that because for each game you mark as 'Not Interested' they got 20 more new suggestions for you.

Best bet would be to add your votes to the previous suggestions:

This. I used to raise exactly this objection to other users wishing for an Ignore option, too, as it'd be employed to hide games that don't present an immediate interest (like, too expensive RIGHT NOW). Considering the current release trend and plans, I now believe such an option is necessary simply to use the website in public.
