Mostly man/woman. Usually its the guy who is alive and the woman is dead but in the Senua games its the woman who is alive.

I don't know the names, just seeing the article title: "Insert Game Name Here: a game about loss" My brain just turns off and leaves.

The trend has been around for a long time but there's been a sudden increase in them from various small indie studios. I can only give generic descriptions of what I saw before my brain just said: "Nah fam, I'm tired of loss."

Lumberjack man standing next to tree and ghost of dead wife.

Small trend but growing annoying, there's probably more coming.

Okay. Please link to a minimum of one of these articles. Indie games are a dime a dozen and plenty of them aren't going to be creative.
