Each time I move between pages on the General Discussion board, my browser opens and tries to connect to Facebook (unsuccessfully).

Anyone else getting this?

Keeps saying "Invalid App ID..."

Was just about to post about this and wondered the same.
Today I started getting this error in Galaxy, while accessing the forums:

...://www.facebook.com/connect/ping?ancestor_origins=files%...

Application not found


1. I don't have a facebook account and don't access their pages
2. I never login into Galaxy using facebook (obviously)

So why is then Galaxy trying to connect to the address? It fails because I don't have a browser associated with links (on purpose), but why does it happen? What is going on here? Whatever forum I try to access this pops up each time. It's annoying and worrying, as I see Facebook as "evil corp". Any of you who can explain this to me, please? Thanks in advance.

It started happening few mins back, pretty annoying -_-

This is the third time i've heard of this bug popping up, i swear GOG fixed it ages ago, but it must be back again.

they did, apparently it is.

Have the same problem since today, I send a request to gog support to see what can be and solve it.

just started occurring here as well. I don't-and won't use facebook for personal reasons. If GOG is going to have a forced link with facebook in the client, it will disappear from my PC quickly

This is disturbing. I don't Facebook and I don't want their shit on my DRM Free gaming.

If you look around, most places have a tie in with Facebook.

Now it's happening whenever I click to open any page or thread. This is beyond annoying.

I solved it by uninstalling Galaxy. For all we know, that buggy instability might be the tip of the iceberg.

maybe it has something to do with galaxy 2.0 alpha that launched today..Hopefully they will fix it tommorow.
