I wouldn't expect the FF games any time soon, but I remain almost stunned old non-FF games like Tomb Raider Legend and Hitman Blood Money aren't here yet. I can only assume it's because those don't need any compatibility work or GOG doesn't want to attempt any compatibility work, and sales probably won't be impressive or sales on Steam are still good, so Squeenix doesn't want to bother.
And in semi though completely unrelated news... the upcoming Hitman game will be episodic...

snowkatt: i can only speak for myself but

ff 4 doesnt require any login to a square account

ff 7 does

ff 8 i cant recall but i wouldnt be surprised if it does

ff 13 doesnt

and EA threw their toys out of the steam pram around mass effect 3 since then their pc games are confined to origin
FFIII; FFIV + FFIV AY; FFV , FFVI , FFXIII, FFXIII-2 , FF TYPE-0 don't require any square account

FFXIII Lightning Returns, doesn' t require a Square account, BUT requires to have the steam cloud enable (it's hidden on the gamecard, you need to fully check the system requirements), otherwise doesn't run, They "fixed" the need to be always online to play the game.....(IE the offline mode didn't work) -> if you ask me i don't really understand this paranoia.

FFVII , FFVIII, require a square account -_-

i could mistaken ofc (but that what i'm aware).

snowkatt: cause final fantasy ( the good ones anyway ) are the money makes for square enix so they prefer to hide them away behind layers of drm

figures that ff 7 and ff 8 are the ones that require an square account because those are the most popular
i wouldnt be surprised if 9 required one too

personally i think ff 7 aged badly and i already had little patience for random encounters when i first played it i have even less patience for them now

The silly thing is you can get Tomb Raider: Legend, Anniversary and Underworld DRM free via Square-Enix's own store. Gawd knows why they're not sold here.

They claim most of what Square-ENIX sell digitally from their store is DRM free too.

So for their older games they're not completely opposed to DRM free, so I've no idea why they're not using GoG?

If they release TR(2013) DRM free I'd buy it in a heart beat.

What's the problem? One can always wait until all the episodes are out and buy them in a bundle. That's what I'd do anyway because I want to know beforehand how much the "whole experience"(?) will end up costing me, AND that all the episodes will come out and will not be cancelled because the earlier episodes didn't sell well enough.

It is just me but a release day should feature the entire game. Sick of this episodic routine.

Patience is a virtue, stick it on the wishlist, forget about it for 5 years. Dev's will soon learn if people stop supporting this by buying these things.

I probably won't buy it anyway. I thought Absolution was a much better game than Blood Money so this isn't what I'm wanting really.
