Can you translate out AIO? All in One, but that's a bit vague and probably wrong?

- I have an odd forum name.

- My pc and my graphic card have the same amount of RAM.

- I have a server tower, that is always open, because i like to see the parts working.

- I have five speakers connected to a stereo output. I don´t know what the fifth speaker does.

- My life is generally pretty lame.

The only really unusual bit must be the keyboard.
Self built, hand-wired, 111 Cherry MX Silent Red keys, MiTo MT3 Godspeed keycaps (4u spacebar), steel plate cut by Laserboost.com, firmware is QMK.

My speakers are an over 20 year old Samsung set with a sub-woofer. Still sounds nicer than most PC speakers.

Writing this on an old-ish Celeron mini-desktop running Debian, rather than the vastly more powerful Windows mini-tower connected to the same monitor and USB devices, because it's quiet.

My monitor stand is a PS4, and I have a few daggers and my Witcher collector's sets on the hutch around my desk. Other than that, not too much is weird.

Sure, but that typically refers to self contained machine units; like those various desktop systems which don't even have a mouse or keyboard and have an inbuilt screen.

I have a modern Logitech mouse and HyperX headset, but the keyboard doesn't quite fit the "gamer" aesthetic.. It's a old membrane PS/2-keyboard. The white plastic has started yellowing, there are coffee stains, and the shift key has deep grooves from countless hours of Battlefield. It's the best keyboard I've ever used. A Model M would probably be even nicer though.

The drivebays in my computer chassis are gone. I drilled out the rivets holding them in place a few years ago to fit a very long graphics card with three fans (Vega 56 ROG). My current graphics card would have fit without doing this, but I don't use any mechanical drives anymore anyway.

I have a boxed signed copy of Sid Meier's Railroads! near my workstation. Won it in a contest when it was new. The game sadly wasn't hat great, and I *already* had a copy before the contest ran. But, eh, Meier's signature? I never expected it to have any special value, other than to myself. (I wish Sid Meier would go indie, make one or two last hurrahs that way, and retire.)
AIO is now used in the PC enthusiast market to refer to CPU coolers that are self-contained liquid cooling with a CPU block and a radiator you mount internally with fans. All In One (not "AIO" usually) is still used by Dell, et al, for iMac-style computers (non-portable laptop hardware crammed in with a monitor).

The mini-pc on the desk is actually DIY with a All-In-One motherboard, wich had a broken screen. The board is interesting since it has inbuilt sound amplifier (Class-D TPA3112 for the curious) wich is powerfull enough to enjoy good sound, connected to a pair of DIY bookshelf speakers.

Nothing really odd about my setup other than generally have 3 computers connected to 2 screens but the desktop (under the desk) is connected to both screens. The displays are arranged depending on what I'm doing but to play games, usually the left monitor connected to the desktop and the right monitor connected to the mini-pc, mouse only.

At the moment of the photo, the left monitor is connected to the HP T630 Thin Client on the desk, wich I'm attempting to undervolt with motherboard mods so it can gain more performance, since it's hard limited to 15W SoC. This is a fairly good X86 mini-pc (available drivers for Win7, 8.1 and 10) able to play loads of games, wich can be had for peanuts...

I took off the front of my case so I could fit an optical drive.

I don't remember if it's a DVD, CDRW, DVD CD RW or whatever - I just remember I didn't like that the computer didn't have a disc drive! ...

I don't think I've used it in the last 5 years and can't remember the last time I did. I still haven't pulled it out and replaced the front of the case.

hah...... reminds me after my own reaction after assembling a completely new p.c. and picking it up in the store. I had my previous system for about 11 years, of course some parts did upgrade but in essence the whole remained the same. Imagine my surprise when the attentive magazine employee cleverly pointed out how my case had no room for the integrated DVD drive i picked along with the parts. No room for an optical!!! Switching the internal part for an external part was no problem, you know, i just needed it to come with its own DVD drive, just to be on the save side of life! and it is since only this year i migrated to using windows from a usb drive.
Of course that is no excuse for such lazy behavior mister, or deserves a place into the major plane of computer oddities
