Given the GOG staff's recent switch to "GOGlin" as the apparent preferred nomenclature for GOG community members, the argument has been rekindled for what to call ourselves. These are the leading contenders:

GOGer (self-explanatory)
GOGlin (GOG + goblin)
GOGlodyte (GOG + troglodye)
GOGnard (GOG + grognard)

I have set up <span class="bold">an online survey</span> where you can vote for your preferred choice, or suggest new ones like "GOGbears", "Good Old Gamers", or "Sad Wankers". ;)

So let's do what the internet does so well and argue this without resolution!

Just voted for GOGer (obviously), and I'm the only one who's voted for it so far /as I'm writing this (but then it's only been 5 minutes) and the leading proposal so far appears to be Goglodyte. Oh well, I guess if people want to denigrate themselves, who am I to oppose that? :P

P.S. Er, do you have any idea of how someone can see the results after having voted? I just tried to see them again just to be certain, and was just shown that I voted already, and in the incognito mode it just gave me the option to vote again, which I didn't do as that'd be cheating. In case this can't be done, could you please periodically update us with the results?

I always prefered the word "GOGer". It's simple and obvious, and for me, it feels right to say it :)

I'm personally partial to GOGlodyte. Although I often find myself referring to community members as Grumpy Old Gamers.

Quick unrelated question: I completed the survey (there were 2 people who voted at the time); tab was closed, now I want to see progress - when I open survey again, I get message "You have already taken the survey" and can't see results. Do i have to register to see them or can you update it here from time to time?

By the way, I voted "Other" for fun, suggested GOGart (GOG + boggart)

I votef for GOGlodyte, because I like the sound of it and the origin of the word. Could also live with GOGer though.

Besides that I would suggest GOGzillas. The atmoshere in the forums can get quite destructive at times.
