BenKii: Voted in the survey. I'll just rate my choices here.

1. Goglodyte (the best)
2. GOGer (meh)
3. Goglin (bleh)
4. Gognard (just terrible)
Sounds like you've developed your own class system. Now how do you classify those phylum accordingly?

I thought it was self explanatory. They are already ranked from best to worst with Goglodyte being the best (and the one I voted for) and Gognard being the worst.

OK, I'm a Gognard then, by choice.

Treasure: The site indeed does have some issues, but at least the game installers work properly, so it isn't so bad.
I guess all those hours I wasted trying to patch Witcher 3 were just in my imagination. Eventually I just gave up and started installing everything through the "completely optional" Galaxy client, as standalone patches always managed to fail somehow.

And older games that all come with their own copy of DOSBox... Want to install ten games? You now have ten DOSBoxes. Eleven, if you count the one you already had installed and set up they way you like it.

I haven't bought Witcher 3, since I haven't even played the 1st one yet, so I don't know about this W3 problem -my only beef with downloading stuff is that the bin files are now in 3.9 Gbs increments instead of 1.5 gb ones (which increases the possibility for my lousy internet connection to screw up), but last time I complained about that another forumite told me pretty much that I was backwards or something, so...
As for the old games coming with their own copy of dosbox, this is only logical as most people (including myself) do not know a single command of DOS so that they'd configure dosbox themselves - and I've personally also had more than one dosbox game installed at a time and did not see more than one dosboxes on the control panel. You could resolve that problem (which might have something to do with your system) with innounp though (as you could then extract the contents of the gog installer, put the dos files wherever you liked and used them with your own version of dosbox: here's the method, which I've personally used e.g. to check if a manual is included in the install folder without installing the whole game (and I've also used innoextract in linux to extract dosbox games that have windows-only installers e.g. Doom).

But regarding the actual installation, other than the installers getting corrupted, I manage to run the games 90% of the time, and when they don't run it's usually my fault for not noticing the graphics card requirements -and last time this happened, I got a refund regardless as at least the tutorial had run just fine on my pc and it just crashed afterwards.
Well, in short regarding the installation itself I'm 90% content and regarding the downloading 70% content (I'd prefer it if they could add an md5 checksum). It appears I'm probably easy to please then in regards to actually playing my games (which is kind of weird given that I got annoyed with the goglins debacle), or I just try not to let my concerns magnify themselves.

At any rate, I should probably try to keep myself away from the rest of the thread, as the staff will most probably stick with goglins anyways, since it's the 3rd most popular choice in the poll...
I GOT IT!

While I'm not GOG staff nor on their payroll, I think you bring up some very good feedback they would lose if turning a deaf ear.

Darn. Now I want to see that. The first movie I've ever seen Sean Connery in though, was "Darby O'Gill and the Little People".

I'll yield to the advice of a higher power than I.

Considering earlier in the movie one of the Storm Troopers slams his head into a door, maybe they should have invested in some shorter recruits.

Well GOG stands for Good Old Games so I was thinking about something along those lines for us.

POOG (Player Of Old Games)

POG (Player of Old Games)

POGOG (Player Of Good Old Games)

PGOG (Player of Good Old Games)

I like the sound of POOG. POG's my runner up.
Don't think anyone's suggested GOGites yet!
