GOG's lacking support for the forum and the website in general.

i simply am sad because i am. there's so many reasons that it's hard to see the trees because of the forest. but if you motherfuckers would step back into the hole you came from, i'd feel much better

A few things:

1. Recently, another user on the forum (who I won't name here) who otherwise seemed like a decent person started acting hostile toward me, calling me something I don't consider acceptable (and refusing to stop when asked to), and even, at one point, throwing ableist and transphobic language at me.

2. Not so recently, a different forum user, someone who seems to know a lot about older WRPGs, turned out to be a misogynist. Basically, I would make a comment about the sexist Strength rule in the Gold Box rules (one that isn't counterbalanced by any other rule), and this user would come in and not be nice.

(I'm not naming names here because I don't want to start an argument.)

In any case, some moderation on this forum would help, especially when it comes to #1.

Well, adalia and barefoot are already doing a good job fixing what GOG should be fixing. But there are some things that GOG would have to do themselves. Like: implementing an actually useful search function. Getting rid of the rep system or at least stopping it's abuse. Stopping the region locking nonsense. Actually reacting to reported abusive posts. Doing something against scammers. Fixing their website, so that the account tab does not keep disappearing from time to time. And much, much more. It's a shame that they decided not to do customer support themselves but to rely on volunteer work from the community instead. Or at the very least they should start paying barefoot and adalia for doing the job that GOG should be doing.
