Enebias: Today is my first GOGiversary! Hurray! :)
I'm glad to have found this site: strong ideals in a world of corrupted thieves, great games and an even greater community! What else could I ask for?
Now your GOGiversary will always be on the day that GOG become fresher, better and as a consequence announced the delisting of 35 games, among them many great classics.

Actually, it seems I involuntarily lied. I checked now, and the date says I joined GOG on Aug 26, not 27, so my GOGiversary will be the reminder of the old times. What mede me happy, today? This realization, since I will not be tied to that shameful day! :)
What is my problems with the calendars, lately? Since June, I *always* subtract "1" for every date! See my last GA, for example: ddickinson corrected the day, and you corrected the hour! ;)
I hate the time...

Phew, saved thanks to your faulty sense of time! Now this realisation is indeed worth being happy about. :D
Actually something WILL make me happy today: the decision to make today really a day's off, instead of doing some work also like I did last week, so I can recover from two days of work instead of mentally crashing like I did last week. And wednesday is the day the household help comes - mental illness might mean also 'physical' tasks like household takes too much effort, making me all stressed up, but luckily I got help. So, a bit of recovery today.
My back is improving from where it was early last week, which was pretty close to full debilitation. Some stretching, inversion, and chiro work has it doing fairly well.

Well enough that I took the wife's motorcycle out for a short ride today, to meet her as she was leaving work. I was thinking that the back is getting bad enough that I can't count on being able to ride much, but it felt really damn good to get on and enjoy the short trip. Never mind that her bike is too small for me, and is much slower than mine. It handles like a dream, runs well, and it simply felt good to know that I'm not quite done yet with riding.
I'm glad to hear your back is better, HereForTheBeer :)

I'm glad my hubby is doing so much better today. He'd been sick quite awhile
I spilt soda on my laptop, but it's still working fine! I was so relieved you guys
The sound seems a little weird at times but nothing noticeable
edit: some keys were weird too but still not too bad considering

ddickinson: snip
I was able to spend some nice time talking with ddickinson. It makes my day better and I enjoy her insight and knowledge and also her caring. ddickinson makes gog a better place.

Also Mom has been released from speech and her nurse said she is releasing her as well. PT will go on until the 15th. =)
Finished watching season one of True Detective. Happy there is still great writing and depth in pop culture, particularly if you consider how rare that is.

True Detective ruined TV for me. It set new standards so high that I doubt anything else will live up to them. :)

:) Right, it's gonna be tough to follow. Looking forward to season 2 hitting (if on schedule) summer '15. Want to rewatch S1 with a friend though, as the dialog and story itself is on a complexity level I'll sure be discovering bits I've missed the first time around.

Had to repost this, GOG forums are eating my replies now?

Already had a second viewing myself, and I sure discovered stuff I never noticed before. The show is full of subtle hints. I'm sure I'm going to find more of them on a third viewing. Kind of reminds me of the film "Primer". You have to rewatch it a few times to really, really get what's going on.

Material that makes you go back, stays with you sure makes me happy. I remember Primer; watched it once only, but I agree, that would be worth viewing a couple of times as well.

There's a guy that actually wrote a paper on Primer. The timeline is really, really messed up. I thought I had untangled it on my third viewing. But I hadn't.

I have to admit I got lazy with that one and just went and read theories on imdb.
