Sachys: My best friend gets his leg amputated next week (after a long and ugly battle with it after he was assaulted by a "flying bint").
Obviously, for any reason of having the operation, it is quite serious.in this case, VERY serious (the prior injury he had, had never been seen before, and the maverick surgery he recieved to rebuild it - amazing as it was - did not work out long term).
Why does this make me happy? - Because he is, he has mental equilibrium for the first time in years, and will (with the aid of his prosthesis) be able to enjoy life more than he has in that time, and start feeling "normal" again.
That's some heavy business for sure but best of luck to your friend for a speedy recovery!

Nothing's made me happy today just yet.
I'm afraid to answer the phone and open my mail again after being ok for a month or two and starting to think my meds dosage was finally right and I was seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

Oh right this is not that thread.

Good writing made me happy today. I'm running out of stuff to watch because of my anxiety issues making me spend most of my time at home so I figured I'd give "Orange is the new black" a chance while fully intending to hate it. I just watched the first episode and it was fantastic.

I feel almost great enough to return a phone call and open my mail.... Na, that would be crazy.

I'm sorry to read about your anxiety issues, having struggled with "some shit" myself, and hope your meds help.As for OINTB...I also recently decided to watch it and finished up season 2 a few days ago. It's definitely not as good as a lot of people claim but I found it to be an above-average show even if, imho, it focuses way too much on Piper Chapman and ignores some other really amazing characters and stories.Bottom line is that it's got a lot of heart, exceptional acting from largely marginalized sectors of society, and will make you laugh and seethe at unexpected times.

Looking forward to sleep.
I felt like crap most of the day, but my girlfriend got off work and took me out to eat. Plus I have leftovers for later! :)
If nothing happens to prevent it there will be Pnp RPG tonight. *yay*
Yesterday there was no internet at the hotel I'm staying.

Today the internet came back and I'm finally able to post here. That made me happy. Plus the ability to watch porn again :P
That precious feeling when all the tough decisions you made in recent months/years collide and those many paths turn into one enlightened road.
I found enough change to get a blueberry coffee and pack of chocolate covered donuts for breakfast ^_^

Im very much a "live the now" person so little things make me happy... My mom always said "dont sweat the small stuff, and everything is small stuff"

Yesterday I pulled a weed with a 7" long root made me feel awesome!

and blueberry coffee is AMAZING!

First decent night of sleep in over a week.

Really need to go look for a different mattress, and normalize my bedtime, but at least I understand that those are part of the problem.

Yes it has heavy Blueberry notes... the smell and aftertaste are pleasant and smooth... not bitter at all.... you could ad milk and sugar to enhance it but i drink it black and not scalding hot... i hate super hot coffee! that's one american thing I never understood... why do most like scalding hot coffee/tea?
