HereForTheBeer: Post-eye surgery - with LASERS! pew pew! - I'm finally getting some vision that's a bit more usable. Went from badly far-sighted to fairly near-ish-sighted for now, but it's still changing daily. Everything distance-wise is blurry, but at least I'm close to being able to use the computer without much struggle. Yesterday I could finally read from a book, which is a big plus. Maybe games in a week or two?
Fairfox: yay so plsed for you
it must be an amaze.-feelin' to naht feel burdened with eyewear :)
I'm not really bothered by glasses. Worn them for 48 of my 50 years, so for now it feels like something is missing. And I'll likely get another pair in a few months, to take care of whatever the surgery - with LASERS! pew pew! - missed, though with a much milder correction. But yeah, it's a bit of a revelation to see decently first thing in the morning when I get up.
Been a frustrating 2-3 weeks to get to this point, though. The first 10 minutes out of surgery, it was clear as a bell. And then it all went to shit shortly after, with a slow progression toward useful vision. The whole time I'm thinking, "Oh crap, I hope I didn't make an expensive and permanent mistake!"
