A whooole list of things:

Installed a machine in the Dallas area this past week. Stupid hot in the building but we managed without injury or frayed nerves. An old customer buddy of mine - of whom I lost track because reasons - contacted me out of the blue, looking for a used machine for the shop he works at now. New job and he's the General Manager. Trying to get the place better organized, more efficient, etc. Convinced the owner that a couple pieces of automation can streamline things and allow them to take on more work and hire more people. I installed the first piece in the plan, a 24-year old machine in nice shape. Anyway, was great to get back together with an old friend. As it should be, just picked up where we left off years ago.

Just finished off this morning one of the post-surgery eye drop medications. This one is kinda milky / creamy, and it stings; I think it's called Annoyacin or something like that. Soooo glad to be done with this one. And hey, my eyes are still slowly improving, at least for close-in vision. Good enough that last night I tried a game for the first time in about a month. Getting my butt clobbered in Sunless Sea but that has nothing to do with blurry vision and everything to do with "what the hell am I doing / supposed to be doing?" Haha.

Still in Dallas for another 4-5 days. Monday I'm headed up to another buddy's shop, take a look at his machine. This is the guy who convinced me to go independent, and I owe him a long debt of gratitude. And some cursing, but that's for another thread.

Last, one of my sisters and her husband live maybe an hour or so east of here. I'm heading over to their place in a couple hours, see the new digs. Been a while since we've caught up. Should be fun.
