Hardest thing you will ever do is quit smoking, I KNOW!

If you ever need to unload on someone to get over a crave, I'm always here and happy to help. :D
Thanks, tinyE!

How about 5 years later? Do you still take the onload? :-P

I used about 10 years I think to quit. Always used cigarettes with less and less nicotines and then one day out in the cold winter night I just "f this, I hate standing here in the cold!" and that was it.

I always thought to my self that going cold turkey was the thing, but that isn't always the case, as I constantly started again.

I realized that I mentally wained off the thought to have that smelly thing in my hand in my mind, found new ways to "hate" that thing, and constantly read a list of downside to smoking. Even tried those little bags with mint/laktris/anis taste, lots of gum, and acupuncture in the ear and neck.

Oh, almost forgot about those self-hypnosis disks and so called self-group-therapy with friends XD

dtgreene: The fact that exit polls indicate that Ireland has repealed its 8th Amendment, and that the vote wasn't even close.
Yeah. Still, it has the air of France's last elections: "Woo-hooo, two thirds of France aren't fucking racist".

I mean, what the hell is up with that last third. What the hell. 75% no voters men, what are the statistics here...?

Fairfox: somebody presented me with a smokin' pipe tofay

wtf tf?!

liek its a pipe. i dont get it; is taht teh hip nu thang? i mean if so imma pipe it up, but it seems a pain to use (an uuuh clean?) as opposed to cigarettes?

i didt even kno how to react so it was kinda awkward, but then we laughted it off. mebbe it was bought ironic lee

will still try it tho
I would advise against it. Smoking is a bad habit that is unhealthy to you, unhealthy to other people around you (not to mention rude), and addictive in a way that makes it hard to quit. It is much easier to not start in the first place.

Did some sightseeing today. Started at the National Brewery Museum, and then swung over to the tongue-firmly-in-cheek National Mustard Museum. After that, hit up Half Price Books - one we hadn't visited before. And spent too much. But books, right?

ciemnogrodzianin: Quo vadis, Ireland? :(
Towards an inevitable doom, like the rest of Europe. It's depressing, but at the moments like these I really am glad that I live where I do.
Warm weather = working from the boat again.
Learning that the GOG version of Wizardry 6+7 comes with a soundtrack which, as it turns out, is an arrangement of music from the Super Famicom version of Wizardry 6.

(For those not aware, this is one of the many Wizardry versions (in this case a console port) that never got to see a release outside of Japan, so this is some nice music that most people reading the forum are not familiar with.)

Well said. It fills me with some hope that there are still a lot of people who think in this way.

The amusing thing is that more or less everyone agrees on that, except pointing the finger at each others as the proof of imminent doom.

Another amusing thing is that it's not the first time.
