Actually it happened on Friday but it's my first time logging in since then, so... my GF threw me a surprise birthday party. My birthday itself was quite depressing since my GF didn't seem to care at all, as it turns out she kept it ridiculously humble (more than ever before, no nice dinner, no plans, no nothing) to cover up the big plans she had for the next day. It was quite a shock when I opened the door and there were twelve people standing in the corridor, many great friends I haven't seen in a while. It's been three days and I can't stop smiling and thinking about it.

Today is the day my desktop is officially back up and running. Although it doesn't seem to do as well as I remember, then again it is getting old...ah well.

Several months ago my dad made contact with me for the first time since I was a kid. I was unsure at first, but have been talking with him some since then.

This morning he called and thanked me for getting his first Father's Day card ever the other day. That made me smile :)

What really made me happy today was the community on GoG, I forgot how nice the majority of the site was to me when I first joined and this sale isn't anything to count off either.

The wife discovered a new channel on DirecTV, El Rey ("The King"). It was founded / created by Robert Rodriguez, so that oughta tell you what sort of movies they show: grindhouse-style, martial arts, zombie / horror, spaghetti westerns. Uncut, too.
