I just found out that Netflix U.S. has Cheers! My favorite show from the 80's.
I had bought the first season on DVD several years ago but I felt it was not very good, not at all how I remembered it. Now I've just watched the first few episodes of the second season and I laughed from beginning to end, just how I remembered it. So first season not very good, last seasons without Diane not very good. In between those: One of the best TV show ever.

I just got a call that my second offer for the new (bigger) apartment was accepted by the owner. :) In the end I was able to lower the asking price by 8000 €, fine by me. My original offer where I offered 14000€ less was not accepted, I didn't really expect so either. I wouldn't have accepted it either if I was her (the old lady selling the apartment).

My wife would have preferred another apartment nearby, just because it has a tiny sauna inside the apartment which this one doesn't, but meh. I think this house of apartments is in a better condition and will become cheaper to live in in the long run than that other one. And there is a big shared sauna and a swimming pool in the basement of the house anyway, we can use that.

Now I must just think what to do with my current, smaller, apartment. Either I renovate it a bit and rent it out, but I am unsure if I want the extra stress from being a landlord. Maybe I'll be lazy and just sell it (fortunately such small apartments seem to sell quite well at the moment, so it shouldn't be a problem).

After being frustrated yesterday at not being able to find working drivers for my dusty, old gamepad, I found a steal of a deal on a replacement today. A convincing PS3-style controller that was only $5 and, while an off-brand, works like a dream! Cracked into Valdis Story with it and had a lot of fun.

My stomach illness seems to be losing. About time.

My pinkeye slowly gets better. Yay!
