HereForTheBeer: He's not healing. It's the early stages of transformation into Brundlefly.
And here I was, ready to make myself dinner. Well, let's just watch AlKim, and have a handy flamethrower ready (sorry mate, there is no joy in this for me!).
Finding out that Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire are being remade.
I had come home, and was disappointed to see that my 3DS hadn't arrived yet, so I booted up my PC, checked Nintendo life and saw the article.

Today was a good day.

BranjoHello: Got a job after 8 months of searching for one. :)
It's not full-time, but the pay is good for a part-time job and it is something I'm actually excited to get into, so I'm happy. :)
grats man! :)
I did my last final just a couple of hours ago. I don't feel great about them, but thank God they're done. :)

I like Nintendo Life. They're one of two news sites I go to.

GOG went from having new release price on the banner image to it being an active element of the webpage. Which means the highly decorative banner is clean and even more decorative.
Watched the intro of Battle Isle : Historyline. Unexpected.

I'm curious, what was unexpected and why does it make you happy? If you're happy about learning things you did not know then I fully understand you.

And to contribute to the thread, I had my first meeting with a social worker today concerning my asperger and my anxiety disorder and it went very well. I'm happy about it because I had been a bundle of nerve for days now because of it. Nothing came of it yet, I'm seeing her again in a couple of weeks, but the process was very reassuring to me as I have the tendency of generating scenarios after scenarios when I go into the unknown. Although this tendency had one good side as I predicted that she would ask about my medication so I came prepared. I can never remember the name and dosage of the three anti anxiety medication I'm on.
Bought a second-hand ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T yesterday as a midway between my laptop and my Galaxy Tab 2 7" inch tablet. I'm acting spoiled, having 4 devices in my home now, but I like it the way I have it now. I used to use my laptop for checking mail and fora in the morning and watching documentaries on the couch, but now on the couch I havemy Transformer Pad and the laptop moved to the dresser, next to my new TV with HDMI, so my table is much tidier without a laptop and it's speaker, mouse and cables cluttering most of it.

I watch my documentaries on the TV now, displaying my laptop screen with HDMI and I got a much more compact tablet with keyboard to visit fora and take with me to view documents and take notes on meetings.

Only bitching is the resolution is only 1280x800, thus not making for not as much crisp readiing as the HP Slatebook X2 I was also thinking about, but the ASUS TF300T is much more good looking and so was the student I bought it from, so I got swayed by beauty. The positive way to look at it, beauty still has a role to play in this ugly world.

beautiful
ugly

Beauty's in the eye of the beholder of course and I can't post an image of the beautiful student. Her boyfriend was good-looking as well. Ahem, what matters is the beauty of the Transformer Pad.

Battle isles is a game with an abstract chesslike system, not a simulation. And the first images of the intro made me expect a very superficial use of the ww1 setting. First I took the "how could one expect these events to lead to war" panel as a rhetorical dramatic question ("who'd have seen it coming"), which struck me as naive (well everybody could), and then an animation started about the Sarajevo assassination, and I was like "okay yeah, this happened, and, wham, war is triggered, because, event, and spy novel logic". It was a videogame, I was smirking.

And then, the whole context is thrown at us, all the alliances history, their motivations, and even the general eagerness for war. It contradicted all my expectations about this game's intro, all my interpretation of its tone and genre. It was actually clever, documented, and beyond what i'd even expect from a simulation game. It was surprisingly 'serious'.

Then I read the manual, and it's simply adorable. From the antiwar statement to the intention of making educative, informative games. Something I really didn't associate with this series.

So, it all made me happy. I had been underestimating them at the beginning of the intro, I was in a sarcastic mood, and I turned out wrong, because they were even the very opposite of what I thought. It was a very cool surprise. My favorite kind.
I think I had forgotten how stunningly beautiful she is.
That todays episode of Game of Thrones Season 4 will continue Tyrion Lannister's plot after 2 no show episodes.
Learning that there will be a spring insomnia sale.
We baptized my second child today.
