Just got done mowing the lawn. Normally this is not something to make me happy, but it's a sign that the weather is finally turning nice enough that we can ride the motorcycles again.
The weather is nice again and I saw this Swedish Chef music video.
A stitch came off my thumb by itself, but the skin it was holding together didn't. Admittedly it's a bit of a bugger that I have the stitches in the first place, but shut up, I'm being positive here.
My wife came home with a surprise dog!

Frankenthumb?
Got a job after 8 months of searching for one. :)
It's not full-time, but the pay is good for a part-time job and it is something I'm actually excited to get into, so I'm happy. :)

Congratulations! I've been looking for a long time too. Hope to find one soon :D
hmmm, finishing work...
First motorcycle ride of the year. Short but sweet, and just a touch on the chilly side. Gotta take her bike in later this afternoon for some simple recall so that'll make two rides today. It won't suck.
Done with my Sociology class, the most annoying one all semester. The work was not intensive (except for the paper) but what really, really got to me was about six of the guys and one girl are just... annoying So, it's done and I am glad. Three more classes to go.
After over two years of nothing but shitty experiences with the healthcare system, unaffordable medications, and bad doctors, I finally went to a community clinic and had an amazing appointment with an amazing NP. She spent 45 minutes talking to me (about ten times longer than any doctor I've seen in several years,) and actually went out of her way to make sure I could get a lot of medicine as cheaply as possible. She actually cared about me and gave me a lot of suggestions, including some alternative stuff that doctors are not willing to suggest.
Basically, I accomplished more today than I have in the last twenty-seven months combined.
She even told me to e-mail her anytime I need to. That is a huge deal for me.

The secret to good healthcare in this country - avoid private and family practices, go to the tiny and smelly community clinics.

It does look pretty hideous, since I basically cut off a small slice that only hung on by a thin strip of flesh. That, and the stitches look like cobalt-blue centipede carapaces with disgustingly long antennae are trying to burrow their way out.
Nothing yet.

Instinct would command, kill it with fire; but it's your own digit, hm, might as well watch the science experiment unfold (I dig your description). Jokes aside, all the best for the insectian appendage to heal! :)

He's not healing. It's the early stages of transformation into Brundlefly.
