The guy from the job interview called. Seems that I could begin my training next week, work on the week after. Yeah, there's not much money in it, but by this stage I'm happy enough taking my victories where I can find them.
At the bus stop I got a smile from a strange woman and that made my day...
I got a student grant in my university today, I still feel like shit but something is something :)

I love when that happens, it's really nothing but it means a lot, I guess even little things can have great impact on our lives

I've dropped an open 500g box of chocolate powder on the floor. The whole appartment now smells delicious. I should do that more often.
I played around with the settings on Rocksmith and found a way to make my guitar more pronounced. I don't currently have an external sound source so it just comes out of the tv. Not the ideal setup, but good enough for now.

I had some playing Mario Kart Double Dash today with my nephew. That's about it for today, not much else went on.
Well, it didn't exactly made me happy, but puzzled me laughing in awe.

I just got a mail from my bank with some ads covered in blood. Yes, blood.. Several marks. WTF? I guess the delivery man stuck his fingers somewhere, or something. But shit, that's a new one, either paper guy and weird event!

Or your serial-killer neighbor is checking out your mail. But it's probably nothing to be worried about. ; )

This morning for breakfast, I tried an awesome combo: chunky natural peanut butter and coconut curd spread, on whole-grain toast.
Spring is back! Sort of.

E: Life is looking up in general as well, which is kind of cool.

This.
Purchased a 100 dollars worth of games and DVD's even though I am completely broke and that felt really really good to simply say fuck U too all the banks and companies and what not - of course it's not gonna be so funny when the bailiff comes to collect, now does it? :-)
The game that I "work" on starts to feel like a game despite some setbacks. Here is picture in case no one beliefs me.

Got my car back from the shop with an almost-clean bill of health. Had to replace the valve cover seals for some oil leaking into the plug chambers, but not a big deal. Not bad for a car pushing 120,000 miles / 200,000km (is that kilo-kilometers or megameters?). With any luck I can double that mileage without much further outlay beyond gas, tires, oil, and regular maintenance. Price for the work was good, too. I'll probably be using this independent Subaru specialist shop for most of the bigger stuff from now on, even though it's 40 miles away.

Had Mom take me there since I needed a ride all that way, and to show her some good used vehicles to replace the one she has now - the current car is not really suited for her needs since my stepdad passed last year. Kinda got her sold on the wagon (shooting brake) idea. Now just need to decide between Subaru (my pick) or something a bit simpler. The fwd Mazda 5 would looks like it would do a good job since she doesn't like driving in the snow anyway, and it would also be a cheaper car getting better mileage. I'll have to look up the safety and reliability stuff for that Mazda. Having trouble thinking of anything else. I think the Honda Fit is a bit short (she needs to fit an 8-foot tent pole inside) but would otherwise be a good choice. If I can find one around here we'll take a look. Given that she's in her 70s, I think the smaller Fit might be a bit tough for her to get in and out of one of these days.

The Audi RS6 Avant crossed my mind... XD
That smile ! :-)
