Emob78: Stolen Star Wars footage. Stock footage of wars and space rocket launches. Random John Williams tunes. And of course, people fighting rocks and skeleton monsters. Yep, this is Star Wars all right. Can't believe how much this is Star Wars.

One thing I couldn't figure out is during the intro they explained how the Earth was destroyed long ago and broken into pieces which the heroes have to use to enhance their 'magic powers', but the villain spends the entire film wanting to destroy the Earth. Wasn't it already destroyed? Why would the Skeletor breakfast cereal villain need to destroy a planet that was already... ah fuck it. It's a micro budget Turkish Star Wars ripoff. Don't think about it.

This forum desperately needs a bad movie thread.

ScotchMonkey: Remember the scene from "On Her Majesties Secret Service" where Telly Savalas (Blofeld) is being chased in a bobsled?

The dude in the opening looks exactly like him, even the helmet.

BTW if you like this then seek out "Turkish Star Wars".
Apparently Star Wars wasn't the only western film Turkey ripped off. There's copies on youtube of Turkish Spiderman, Turkish E.T., and Turkish Superman. I'm sure there's more but my brain is still recovering from the Star Wars... er, Man who Saves the World.

Wait I derped, I meant to type "Turkish Rambo" .

Now I will go mash the keypad with my palm so I get that special dialing wand.
While taking my breakfast this morning, the radio was playing the good old "Flesh For Fantasy" by Billy Idol. Now it's the middle of the afternoon and I've been listening to that song for at least 15 times on repeat while I'm enjoying some cigarettes and coffee, gazing at the window and the upcoming storm and my mind is drifting away while it reminds me of former lovers....

It's one of those quiet moments I enjoy :o)

I got hold of a couple of new books that I ordered...

Germania by Cornelius Tacitus and The Metaphysics of War by Julius Evola

I also ordered Revolt Against the Modern World by Julius Evola by it was out of stock so I will have to wait some more.

So far I am loving Germania and it is nice to see that not all Roman imperials were so stuck-up and holier-than-thou (or "more civilized than thou"). If Rome had more people like Tacitus and Cicero and less people like Julius Caesar, Augustus, and Nero and if they did not have such serious lead contamination issues, Rome could have survived and been a much better place.
Just finished a birthday card for my little cousin's birthday tomorrow morning. I wanted to try and paint it with some acrylic, but I found out earlier today that I'm shit at painting. In particular I can't mix colours. Red + Blue gives me a dirty maroon wtf?
So I had to do this what I had lying around : white board markers and colour pens :P

Being a beta tester. :)
I'm happy because Limbo is free on Steam right now :-D
The blasted 'game updated' notification disappeared
Home-roasted almonds fresh out of the oven.
Sort of a happy. I guess more so than not, so it qualifies.

Buying a new property and we do the closing / final paperwork / transfer on Monday. Has the big shop space that I need, and the views from the property are really beautiful. House is big and meh, and it really doesn't leave much of an impression. But the shop space is downright glorious compared to what I'm working with now.

For the bad: now have a couple acres to take care of, and the high speed internet out there isn't high speed at all. Phone co says something like 768k. Ouch. Hopefully that's enough to run the business without much hassle. A bit irritated at the lack of speed since we're just 1.5 and 3 miles from two towns (directly between them) that each have 60 Mb service.

Going to cancel DirecTV and make some lifestyle changes. Games? Well, I can download stuff when I travel.

Not sure how the dogs will take it. One of them will generally stick by us but the other tends to follow her nose. The neighbor has horses on his property and they're right there at the fence line, which the dogs can easily cross. We'll see how it goes.

Dreading the actual moving process, especially given the heat and how much work crap needs to be hauled and organized. Dreading the bigger mortgage. Dreading the process of selling our current home, though I think we have that covered. Somewhat dreading taking care of that big yard though my buddy John Deere promises to lend a hand.

But it's gorgeous out there and the wife is happy. Those two things will be enough.

That's pathetic, and I thought mine was bad.

Yeah, not thrilled with it. The listing said High Speed Internet Available. Which it isn't. The phone co won't even call it low high speed net. My bad for not checking beforehand, but I also don't think it will be the end of the world as far as internet use goes. And either them or the cable guys will eventually make a connection out that way. Hell, the phone line is there, they just need to upgrade some local hardware to get us DSL.

So if y'all don't see me around here much, it's because I'm awaiting delivery of individual 0s and 1s through the mail.
