How about you listened to Peer Gynt by Grieg? There is a suite that is known as "The Dance of the Mountain Trolls" (vuorenpeikkojen tanssi) at least by some us Finns. It is quite beautiful.

You mince your words,can you speak plain English as I'm not that keen on rhymes or poetry.In other words say what you are trying to say in English and be straight forward.As for rep,it doesn't worry me but it does you and try not to judge a book by it's cover.

I am not a native speaker, btw, so I do as it goes. But I also love language. So pray tell how you should like me to be plain and loving at once, if you can.

Very simple,you are beating around the bush and if you think a person is an arsehole then say it as it is.Don't put flowers and perfume on it just spit it out.

Besides "nypitty kaura", it made me happy that our president Niinistö (whom I do not particularly like) escorted queen Silvia of Sweden to the celebration of Carl Gustav of Sweden.

But had it not been the terrible helicopter accident in Norway, it should have been Harald of Norway. But whole of Scandinavia, I dare think, both cares for Norway and rejoices with Sweden.

This Scandi solidarity I love! :-)

Was mowing the lawn this afternoon, out front, and I notice my sister-in-law and niece headed my way. Then I notice a big smile on their faces. And finally, I spot the pie she's carrying. "Is that rhubarb?" "Yep" <drool>

For no apparent reason, just figured she'd make an extra pie for us. And our favorite, too.

That sounds cool. I got a microscope for christmas when I was a kid and I loved using to to watch unicellular beasties swim around. I wish I had not given that microscope away.

Now for what made me happy today:

I used to be a Linux user, but had to switch to Windows for professional reasons. Those reasons do not exist anymore so I want to go back to Linux. The only hic is that my distro of choice, Slackware, hasn't seen a new official release in years. I recently installed Linux Mint on a virtual machine to try it out but I haven't really done anything with it, my heart is not in it.

Today I was googling to see if there was news about Slackware and found out that there has been activities this year. Slackware Linux 14.2 Beta 1 was released in January this year, Beta 2 in February, RC1 (Release Candidate 1) in March, and RC2 in April. RC2 is probably the final release candidate (cross fingers and touch wood).

I know Slackware is not supported here but I don't mind, I'll be keeping Windows around for games I can't make work in Linux..

Now I just need to find an extra hard disk.

You could do what I do and set up a Debian or Ubuntu chroot. There is a slackbuild for debootstrap, which you could use for it.
