Test drove a Fiesta ST today. Holy crap, was that ever a ton of fun! Haven't enjoyed a car that much in a long time - We were smiling just about the entire time behind the wheel. Small, nimble, and good power, yet decent storage space, easy to drive at a sane pace, and good fuel economy. With that tight suspension it can be pretty rough on some of these northern roads, but not annoyingly so from what we felt on that drive. Clutch and brakes felt good, and the shifter as well. And it was comfortable for my middle age back and heinie. To me, significantly more enjoyable than the more powerful Focus ST I tried a couple days ago.
So it's, uh, sitting in the driveway. It doesn't help that we're both suckers for a good pocket rocket.
Gonna find a solution to the problem on my main car (see the "bitch about life" thread) and decide whether or not to sell it once we get it back to working properly.
My brother has been looking for an older Volvo wagon for a while now and found a seemingly nice one ('97 850 with a stick) at a great price, but a few hours from here. Just gotta find a good time to meet up with the guy. Hoping he can get that deal worked out.
