Ohio is in an interesting spot. It's not quite southern, not quite east coast, and not quite Midwest - but it's influenced by all three.

Technically this happened yesterday, but I finally received the digital comic book I pledged to on Kickstarter in August, and it's awesome! And they threw in some super nice extras to make up for the delay as well. :)

What is slowly making me happier is challenging its antithesis, depression :) Oh and this encounter yesterday with a funnel-web spider.

I ate a pork sandwich for breakfast, and I'm about to eat another for lunch.
Also, I scored a pile of cheap Lego sets today and yesterday.

This morning my 4 year 9 month old kid complained about his socks while we were on the way to kindergarten. I told him that we're already at the car and we won't go back to get another pair. So he said "there are socks in my bag" (his spare pair) and he spent the few minutes we were on the way (it's less than a 5 minute drive) to replace his socks. When we got there he was wearing the new socks and his shoes, with the other pair of socks in a plastic bag in his backpack. I was terribly proud of him.

Just got a long, crazy, and ultimately entertaining story from my brother about the Bitchiness of Karma being applied to his former business partner - from events that have been going on for a long time - and apparently things came to a bit of a T over the course of the day today.
Pull out the shovel and dig your hole deeper and deeper, buddy. You've actively tried to drag others down with you and have refused to accept responsibility for your actions, and the powers-that-be are finally seeing right through it. We'll never recover our loss (we've blown that off anyway under the heading of "life's too short"), but now you're starting to reap what you've sown.
And it makes me happy. I should not feel that way over another's problems, but when you bring it upon yourself through screwing others...
