I finished my online test and watched cat videos on youtube:

Tarnicus: My father is driving 160km(100 miles) to see me tomorrow. I have seen him 3 or 4 times in 19 years. The last time was in 2007. I am unsure if I am 'happy' but it is a chance to move forward from something that has been looping within since I was a child. I am happy to have a chance to move forward with interaction, rather than alone with my own thoughts and conjecture. I am also shit scared to see him. Sixteen hours to go and hopefully I can get some sleep :)

HypersomniacLive: Stay strong as best as you can, mate. :-)
No strength required other than to ensure that I confronted my fears and turned up to meet him. We talked for a couple of hours sitting by a lake. It was very healing. He is still the man I remembered as a child. Lots more to it and I am going to let this settle within and get back to living, rather than looping with negativity. He asked me how I was and I said "getting through each moment as best I can", to which he replied "You look terrible!" I laughed and said "I feel terrible, isn't it obvious?"

Thank you to all the people who have been chatting to me behind the scenes via PM, email and on Steam. You have all really made a difference by providing advice, support, love, distraction and help to enable me to approach this in a balanced perspective of "now" rather than "then". No need to name you as each of you are aware of how much energy you have passed my way, and I sincerely and deeply appreciate it <3

I have 9 novels to continue writing and a body and mind in dire need of revitalisation.
Just seeing this thread makes me happy. In the daily grind, you tend to not appreciate the small good things, and just having this subject pop up makes me think back and try to find what I could appreciate in the day.

Even getting the kids to kindergarten/school without too much argument is worth a bit of happiness, and I'm enjoying listening to The Hunger Games in my car, plus I'm reading about the Baha'i religion because of the religion thread here ("A Message to Atheists and Agnostics - I get you"), and find it a nice take on monotheistic religions.
Finally, truly got over my cold bug.

AND a really horrible hangover... at the same time. I call that double plus good.
Ran for 10 miles without stopping. (proud and very, very sore). Working towards a half marathon and in pretty good shape time wise if I can figure out how to not hurt for so long after each run. Based on the marathon coming up this spring, I would have had one hour and 57 minutes to get the last 3.1 miles in. I think I can manage that if I can stay healthy ;)

Also... how am I just now seeing the honest movie and game trailers? Those are pretty good.

That is awesome! Used to run a lot and was preparing for a marathon too, but then a few days before race day life happened and I didn't get to run. Might I suggest a great book that helped me a ton? A Non-Runner's Guide... They go over great tips to keep from getting sore. Also, invest in good shoes. You wouldn't think it, but it helps a lot! Although, if you are at ten miles, you probably don't need much help :) congrats again! Maybe your story will inspire me to get running again.

For my own bit of happy: my cat, Taco, went missing almost two days ago. I live out in the country, so my first fears are coyotes and foxes, both of which I've seen out the backyard. Well, at 5am she came trotting back in, happy as you please, probably full of mice. She wolfed down some food and has been sleeping ever since. I am so grateful she is back safe and sound!

Here is a pic of the little fluff ball :)

Got off work early.
My dad visited me this afternoon, he had a strange air about him so I asked what the matter was. He said he had come back from the cardiologist and came to share the results. My heart must have missed a few steps. He then smiled and told me everything was fine, the impression he had that something was wrong was simply because he exercised less this year because of his broken clavicle.

He is 76 and has had heart issues in the past. He was told he has the heart of a 63 years old.

This is not the "bitch about life" thread.

My happy for the day: No rain nor snow nor big wind. It looks like the people in charge of the weather machine did not notice that I have an appointment today.
