The service department of the shop I had purchased an external WD 3TB HDD, called me today to offer a replacement after tormenting me with their incompetence for more than ten days. :-)

Crewdroog: Baseball games are fun to go to in general. But yes, no one drinks and has fun quite like Winsconsinites.

Yes, we have a drinking problem. But it's the good type of drinking problem.
Current hotel's internet speed is double what we get at the house, so...

...downloading all the gOg stuff that I've been procrastinating about for the past few months.

Hahaha, nice!

I think Lewis Black summed it up best. OH, and Lewis Black, so NSFW obviously....

Ragnarblackmane: Archer awesomeness
My wife and I would fight over who would get to play as Pam, and never start the actual game.
I crushed a frankly not-very-difficult EPA certification exam. Now I can legally buy refrigerant, so I'll never have to deal with a moronic / unscrupulous / incompetent / overpriced HVAC tech again. Of course, there are some great and super-knowledgeable techs out there, but good luck finding one.

Also, I've recently read the first two Watch novels by Russian author Sergei Lukyanenko, Night Watch and Day Watch. I really enjoyed them. Sadly, my library network doesn't have the other 3 books in the series. Happily, a friend of mine in Boston has borrowed them for me from her network, so yay, I'll be reading them soon.
As my Denon DCD-685 CD-player didn't play some CD's no more, I was on the lookout for a new CD-player when bol.com came around with a sale of Onkyo equipment with 20% discount and I bought myself an Onkyo C-7030.

It has a wonderful detailed yet warm sound and plays all CD's my former player had difficulty with and I only had to pay 199,- euros for it.

Now the only thing missing in my hifi-set is a top-quality tapedeck, as my previous one, which was a high-quality Sony dual deck, broke down and as a replacement I got a lesser quality Sony that I bought for fear of tapedecks not being made anymore 8 years ago. My father always made fun of me for buying an extra tapedeck and is of the opinion I should just have bought a cheap second-hand one now, instead of buying a backup new one 8 years in advance, but i myself am just sorry I didn't look longer for a high-quality backup deck.

But CD's sound very good now on my new Onkyo and it fits nice with the Onkyo TK-8255 receiver I already have - they both can be handled by the same Onkyo remote control now, with Onkyo's R1 system built in.
2 people buddying together that were blaming me for a loss in a DOTA match. The next match they were on the other team, where I showed them that yes it really was their fault last game. Those moments are priceless. >:D
Playing with one of the cats. Also, good food.
Home again after five long days on the road. 1,100 miles, three customers, two machines that parts were salvaged from, and one Outback riding at the bottom of its suspension travel. I'm pooped, but glad to be home.
