PetrusOctavianus: Steam fanbois.

Cadaver747: In a few months i made an astonishing conclusion that my mentality has degenerated quite a bit. So was it my decision to become stupid in the first place? No and yet kinda yes altogether.
I'm not sure I would classify that as stupid but the problem is conformism that is out of your control or implicit coercion caused by people you meet. Here's a combo of self-awareness and critical thinking quite valuable.
People who DDOS servers related to gaming.

JinKazaragi: Oh there are so many things I hate.

DRM, fanboys, Story-DLCs, E-books, digital-only games, Region-Locks, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, politicians, stupid people (alsoe in combination with other kinds of people I hate), hypes and a lot more.
Those damn Brussels sprouts...driving up the cost of everything...taking away our jobs...committing crimes....DDOSing gaming related servers. :P

JinKazaragi: It also depends on how intelligent you are if others seem stupid to you or not.
It often happens to me that I try to explain something which is completely obvious to me but the person I'm talking to doesn't understand it no matter how often I try to explain it. I know that in many of these cases I'm talking to normal people (meaning not stupid compare to the average) but they still seem stupid to me because they stuggle to understand things which are common sense to me.
I know that my friends often have the same problem and I'm sure it's the same for everyone because you can only compare it to yourself (without tests) you can't imagine how it would be if you were less or more intelligent than you are.
Sometimes if you are an intelligent and someone doesn't understand you, it is because he is simply ignorant when it comes to the knowledge required to understand the topic of the conversation.

HijacK: Is anyone truly intelligent? I guess an argument could be made for the great minds recorded in history i.e. Nikola Tesla, Socrates, Niccolo Machiavelli, Albert Einstein etc.

Cadaver747: Maybe only real scientists are truly intelligent.
The case was about stupid people, so the one have to be just a bit smart.

In my experience sense of humor/sarcasm/irony denies stupidity completely. But many people with such good qualities decide to act as dumb @sses for different reasons.
For example when I served my duty to my beloved country I had to live with many young aggressive males in one barrack with simple interests like women (sex) and food (eat/drink). Only 3 people there read books in their spare time. I remember a moment when a guy saw me reading Dostoevsky and asked me a question "Hey you? What are you reading there, is it porn?"
In a few months i made an astonishing conclusion that my mentality has degenerated quite a bit. So was it my decision to become stupid in the first place? No and yet kinda yes altogether.
Every day in my life I met tons of stupid people, people who don't know how the look in public, don't know their purpose or just pursuing false goals like gaining more money to get more pleasure. I'm not saying that money is a bad goal of course, just that many don't realize that they've been told by society that money is good and they don't really know what to do with them, thus spending them on buzz/drugs and more expensive food killing their poor liver.
But every time I encounter another stupid person I ask myself how stupid am I, don't I see those characteristics in people of my own persona. Why truly intelligent person doesn't give a shit about stupid ones around them. I hope you get a point.
I was never one to go with the flow, but I do occasionally blend in with those people of society that don't have, based on my assumption, a bright future. Environmental influences can truly shape character. After all, that is all character is, with a little of genetic inheritance as well. Still, I do try to learn from those that have been remembered in history as intellectuals as I rarely find myself able to truly catch the attention of such actually living intellectuals in today's busy world. Though I must say I have had very pleasant talks with science, mainly chemistry, researchers lately.
Interesting remark about the barracks. I do find myself surrounded by such individuals on a daily basis here in an American college. I would like to say this is just the modern culture, but truly this is how people have been since the dawn of time. Survival and reproduction. Isn't that the very essence of living organisms?

I think you know the type I'm talking about. You don't have to be a genius in order to be intelligent.

Bullshit about the app economy (it's a scam for worthless bits of crapware, NOT an economy), the digital-only future (I want my physical supports, thanks), Windows 10 fanboys (it's a disgrace to privacy and usability, this new "wonderful" OS defecated by Microsoft), cloud computing enthusiasts (you are all brainless drones).
I fucking hate it when I save in the last level and then every time I load that savegame the game crashes. Happened with Doom 2.

And I hate it when I make a mistake when drawing a map for an old dungeon crawler and now have to fix the maps with the help of the cluebook. Goddamnit, stupid me, concentrate!
Oh boi

"Bzz" means "i will bite you and drink your blood, are you asleep yet ?".
I hate VERY LOUD neighbours at 3am (as in right now) and I gotta get up in 3 hours, bloody jerks
I hate exceptionally loud "music". This actually ruined the "Video Games Live" concert for me (along with the bright moving lights that made it hard to see the musicians or watch the video and hard for the musicians to see the conductor and their music).

I also hate the typical atmosphere inside bars. (There's a reason why I never go to them, and the fact that I don't drink alcohol isn't it.)
Speaking of sound : leaf blowers.
Tailgaters.
Having to wake up before 6 a.m.
Neighbors playing loud music at night on a weekday.
Greedy, selfish and overly idealistic politicians not wanting to contemplate practical solutions to problems.

In Germany we only have the greedy and selfish types. You can't get a foot in the door with idealism.
Patriots, in the strict sense.
All of them :D
