I would fight to allow anyone to be allowed to express their opinion, but they have to accept that just because you express an opinion, it doesn't mean that the views expressed are informed or valuable.

monkeydelarge: Breathing in second hand smoke for 15 seconds wont kill you or shorten your life span. I can understand not wanting to live with someone who smokes or be in a relationship with someone who smokes but wanting to make smoking illegal for everyone because you are afraid of breathing in second hand smoke for 15 seconds is being a control freak. And no, I'm not a smoker.

dtgreene: Actually, I disagree about the whole "control freak" claim. For one thing, it is usually more than 15 seconds. For another, even if it doesn't cause death in small doses, it is still annoying. As a (amateur) player of wind instruments, I need to be able to take in as much air as I can, and cigarette smoke doesn't help with that.

Also, it smells awful.
